Clockwork: The search for the Time Vaults

Prologue

The world of ever growing earth, seen as a beautiful place to many. But to others, it's a cruel world of hostility and destruction. Sometimes thought of invention and innovation. This is the world where gears and steam mechanics flourished. Where the Victorian time of clothing and agriculture, mixed with creative ideas of gadgets and other mechanical electronics. They called this term of invention, "Steampunk". Within this world, when this steampunk inventing first started, lived a higher being of the world. With the unnatural ability to create metalwork, framework, clockwork, out of nothing but air. They called him Nicholas, "The Father of Time" and his brother Tynra, "Architect of Metal". These 2 brothers were able to harness the ever flowing power that people would call "magic" but in reality it's what drives the gear-work without steam power. This lively energy that was used was called Aether, and it flows in the air unable to be seen. Both Nicholas and Tynra were in possession of many ancient artifacts that was kept hidden in  "Time Vaults". Which are supposed to hold magical items able to change the world in a multitude of ways. But no one has ever seen them, nor knows how they were created. when both lived, the world was peaceful. Each one served a purpose, each with a motive, and each with a life to live. However as time passed by things started to shift to a more sinister outlook.
Nicholas seemed concerned for his brother and his unusual antics. For weeks he went in search for a legendary gem labeled the "Gem of Nascencey ". The gem rumored to be the key component to an invention that the brothers were working on. Each were trying to create an invention to go back in time. Most just simply called it a "Time Turner". When this gem was discovered by Nicholas, he informed his brother and chaos insued the world.
One wished to create something that would be able to go back in time, and erase others more dangerous from existence in an attempt to create a more balanced and more tyrannical system of government. Nicholas simply wished to be able to finish another project with the help of the Time Turning device. When he got word of his brothers idea of a perfect society, he knew he had to stop him at all costs. He declared war with his army of clockwork bots and thopters. War waged for what seemed like weeks between the 2 brothers, until finally they met face to face. They knew one of them would make it out alive. In the process of the fight between them, the gem they wanted to keep safe and untouched, shattered on the field of war. This action angered Nicholas greatly, knowing before he was his own brother but now a menace to the world, he ended his life with a single mind sculpt. Turning his fragile mind to nothing but ash and lost memories, then he absorbed what was left of his memories and infused it into the remains of the gem. The war was over, and society became rebuilt.

Nicol went on for a long while, had a daughter then mystically disappeared. Rumors from all over the globe made his absence remorse but he was never to be seen again. The government officials known as "The Counsel" took over and turned society into something it was never supposed to be. More law enforcement, stricter rules, limiting what you can and can't have, and how much you can invent. This is where our story begins. The story of Rose, the prodigal daughter of the legendary "Father of Time", and the life she never asked to have. The story of the beginning of the Hunt for the Time Vaults, the hunt for the long lost gem....

And the beginning of the end....
