Loading.....

I looked at the Loading Screen on my computer. It hadnt moved. Perhaps it had crashed? No..... I got up and went downstairs. "Im going out." I said to my parents. No reply. " IM GOING OUT!" I shouted. Still no reply. I went into the living room. No one was there. I swear that before I can down here, I could hear Mom and Dad chatting away, and Lucas on GTA. Where were they? " Mom? Dad?" I said again. This was all too creepy. And why would it happen now? I hoped it wasn't one of Lucas's pranks where him, Mom and Dad would all jump out at me and go BOO. I hated that twerp and all of his pranks. He gets them from the internet .....I wonder. " Lucas, i hope this isnt one of your pranks." I didnt even hear him either. I went down the hall into the Kitchen. No one was there either. Well, food was there, and the cutlery Mom had set out for our tea.Strange.I was kinda a bit hungry( Typical Author for putting that in!I'm always hungry.). But It didn't feel right. I felt rather on edge in the kitchen, so I went out to the backyard. I looked around, just as Luke, our golden retriever came bounding towards me, seemingly unaware of what had happened in the house. I patted his head, and looked all around the back yard." Luke, do you know what is going on boy?" Luke seemed rather on edge like me, even though I couldnt tell, as he was a dog. I checked in the shed. In there was just our bikes, my dads work equipment, and gardening stuff. "Where did you go?" I said to the air, as if awaiting a reply. I looked at the ground. No footprints, so they couldnt have went far. I felt a shiver go through my body, as I patted Lukes head again, the dog now fully aware at what I was feeling. I looked back at the house, all lights were now off. I gulped." Mom, Dad, Where are you?"

I went back in the house, Luke bounding at my heels. I tried to turn on every light in turn, but they wouldnt come on. It was like there was a power cut. But what a coincidence for it to happen when I was OUTSIDE. I looked back in the living room again. Strange, that when the house was pitch black, it made it all the more scarier.  I took one look at the door. Moms and Dads and Lucas's coats were still there. I looked upstairs, still unable to see in the darkness. I thought I could see a dark figure at the top of the steps, but then , it vanished. I turned the light on. It came on as normally as it would have before. I knew that whatever the figure was, it was upstairs. And I needed to tell Zoey, and the police what had happened. I could hear rather rushed footsteps upstairs. I knew something was up there. So, as if i were in a horror game , or a horror movie, I started to go UP THE STAIRS!( Dont you get me on this? Why, in all horror games, wherever there is bad thing, you have to GO TO the bad thing? Like, seriously? Its just something that annoys me from time to time) Luke , as being the more knowledgeable living thing in this house, stayed downstairs. I arrived at the landing and sprinted all the way to my bedroom. the light was off, my alarm clock was off, my TV's short circuit had completely died. The only thing that was on was my computer, and the screen still showed.....Loading.... I went towards it, and grabbed my phone. I looked at my computer. How come this was the only thing that wasnt dead in the house? Even my brothers Xbox was dead!!!! And how come that loading screen had stayed on like FOREVER? there was so many questions that I wanted to ask, but I didnt want to. It didnt feel right to stay in my room, or upstairs for that even. Because I had just SEEN something rather ODD and CREEPY and it was probably ROAMING upstairs!!! AND MY PARENTS AND BROTHER HAD GONE! I stood from my computer, and went out of my room. I rather sprinted downstairs, with luke back at my heels. I turned the doorknob, but it wouldnt open. So I went to the backyard, and climbed over the fence, as Luke climbed after me. I made my way to the sidewalk, and stopped. I turned on my phone, and Dialled Zoeys Number.

L: Zoey? Are you there?

Z:..........

L: Oh zoey!Please oh pray that you are there!!

Z: What Lucy? Its 10:30 for goodness sake. What do you want?

L: You have to come out Zoey! Something has happened!

Z: To your house?

L: No! Just look outside! Im on the sidewalk near your house!

Z: Creeper!

L: No Im not! Just come out! I have to tell you something!

Z: Okay fine! I hope what you have to tell me is worth it.

I heard Zoey end the call, and waited for her to come outside. I saw her come out of the front door of her house, wrapped up in her winter coat as it was cold. " Why are you not in your coat?" She asked me. I didnt reply, and just looked back to my house. Zoey noticed Luke at my heels and gave him a pat on his head, as luke woofed happily. She then looked at me, noticing the worry on my face. " Lucy, What happened?" She said quietly. I coughed." Why are you oustide, and why is luke with you?" I looked around the street, seeing if anyone was there, then started" My parents. Lucas. Everyone is gone." Zoey looked back at my again pitch black house." Why are you outside?" " It doesnt feel right in there. Lights went off. I felt uneasy upstairs. My computer the only thing on, everything dead in the house. Seeing a Figure on the top of the stairs. Even Luke felt something, didn't you boy?" I said, as I gave him a reassuring pat on his head. He was as disturbed as me. " You don't want to go back there, do you?" She asked, as I nodded. Zoey sighed. " Can I go and see what its like then Lucy?" I shook my head." It was scary in there. I'll come with you Zoey, but you have to promise that you will stay by me, and do not leave my sight, okay?" Zoey nodded, rather now excited about the whole situation. I dont get that girl. But, we started back towards my house.

A/N: Just to tell you, this has happened to me before( Well sorta). I had to go from personal experience in this chapter(Well, my parents didnt dissappear that is) . I tried to do a rather, on edge chapter . Don't worry, the next is more on edge than the previous ones. And there will be some more characters!:) So I hoped you enjoyed reading this, as it took me rather ages.

I got a Cat!!!(If you dont know, then read my other weird book Random pictures(Regrets!)Her name is Polly, and she is 15 Months old. Shes a Tortoiseshell Cat, and she is VERY cute!!!And also, that it is 3 weeks till I go to Insomnia 59! :)
