When Rain Drops Fall

Tell me, why life can't be simple. I mean can't people live happily anymore? I mean come on! So many terrible things happen, what is the point now? I usually am more optimistic but not today, the last straw happened today. A murder happened on our street. The guy shot himself after the murder because he had no reason to do that to anyone.

I hate when I think too much about life sometimes I need to just chill. This is beginning to get out of hand. At least that's what others say.

I am beginning to sound like my mother. "Be safe!" That's what she tells me every time I leave the house. "Don't talk to strangers!" That's the other big one.

What do you mean "Don't talk to strangers?!" I am 23 years old. Sometimes I think she is going out of hand.

I then saw from the corner of my eye raindrops starting to fall. I hate rain. Why is there rain anyways?

I guess I will never know. You know what I also don't get? Why is there life when we are always soon to die? From birth we are slowly having our lives decrease.

"Stop it! No thinking!" I shouted aloud. I am thinking way too much! I banged my head against my bed board with a frustrated sigh.

Why am I feeling this miserable and sad way about things? I then felt a chill go briskly throughout my body. I shivered. I then fell asleep.

My phone then started ringing softly and the gentle sound tickled my ears whilst I picked it up.

"Hello?" I said curiously.

"Hello Ms. Albany, This is County State Hospital. We are calling because your mother has been in a car crash. We would love if you can come down here immediately." I hung up the phone quickly and rapidly ran to get my coat.

I then heard lightning crackle loudly outside. I started crying as the raindrops repeatedly hit my face. I got in my car and drove off as fast as possible to the hospital.

When I finally got there I saw my aunt Larva weeping near the hospital door. I then knew it...

She was gone.
