"why does this always happen to me?" skye cried into the phone, sobbing to her best friend about sean's ex girlfriend coming back. "every time i start to like someone that might actually like me back, it's like the universe rips them away from me in the most heart wrenching way possible."

"skye, calm down. you don't even know if she's still interested, and we both know that sean's heart belongs to you and only you," josh soothed, but it didn't help her at all.

"of course she still has feelings for him! i mean, how could you not? he's sean!"

josh sighed, running a hand through his hair just as him mom called him downstairs for dinner.

"look, i have to go eat supper, but if you're really upset about this, maybe you should go talk to sean, tell him that her being around makes you uncomfortable. i'm sure he'll understand."

"fine, just hang me out to dry," skye over-dramatically sighed, making josh chuckle.

"goodbye, skye."

"bye josh," she told him, ending her call before flopping back onto her bed and letting her phone drop onto her mattress with a frustrated groan.

what to do, what to do.

*time lapse*

skye nervously knocked against the hard work of sean's door, taking a step back afterwards to give herself distance when he opened the door.

she knew josh would never steer her in the wrong direction, so she decided to take his advice and confront sean about her feelings.

sean opened his door groggily, and yawned as he blinked a couple times before his vision came into focus.

"skye?" he questioned, not sure if he was seeing correctly. he rubbed his eyes in an attempt to rid them from their sleep, but when he opened them she was still there. "what are you doing here so late?"

"can i come in?" skye purposefully ignored his question, and he nodded, opening the door wider and stepping to the side to let her enter.

once she was inside, sean shut the door behind him and walked over to his bed, sitting on the edge of it.

"what's up, blondie?" he asked again, and skye let out a deep sigh before speaking.

"your ex-girlfriend makes me uncomfortable, and i don't like it when you guys hang out," she blurted.

sean's eyes widened.

well if he wasn't wide awake before, he definitely was now.

"what?"

"it makes me upset when i see you and your ex girlfriend getting all up close and personal all the time."

sean resisted the urge to chuckle, standing up and slowly walking over to the blonde beauty (ikik i already used that reference in the last one shot. deal with it lol).

"are you jealous, skye?"

skye shook her head rapidly.

she would never think poorly of anyone else, especially not someone sean had previously trusted enough to be in a relationship with them.

"no, i'm just saying that i don't want her to steal you from me. i know we're not official or anything, but whenever i see you with her it just makes me feel upset and unwanted."

sean sighed, no longer enjoying the thought of skye being jealous at the fact that he was hanging out with another girl. he never wanted to be the cause of her sadness. never.

he cupped her face in his hands and slowly joined their lips together for a quick and sweet, yet still spark filled kiss. skye and sean were both grinning like idiots as they pulled away, their foreheads resting together as they stared at each other, their eyes crashing into each other's.

"i like you, skye. not vanessa, not claire, just you. and i would never, ever leave you for someone else."

skye's grin grew, and she nodded her head while biting her lip to keep her girly squeal held in.

"okay," she smiled up at him, "i believe you."
