Are All Best Friends Meant To Be?

Chapter 1

🔷Sunday🔷

"I've known all along! So quit it and act our age! You cant be keeping up with this jealous act of yours!" Ash yelled.

At that moment all my feelings for him collapsed.

"Get out." I said surprising myself at how calm I sounded.

"What? Are you serious? This...this is your response?!" he asked.

"I said get out!" I roared. Yup,that sounded more like it.

He shook his head and stormed off. I followed him as he walked out to the front porch. He turned to say something but I cit him off but slapping the door shut in his face.

Tears where streaming down my face as I stomped back up the stairs.

When I got to my room I found my brothers there ready to talk.

"Don't." I rose my hand stopping them from saying anything. "Just go."

They left and I locked my door allowing myself to officially break down.

I had lost my best friend. Lost my first love. Lost my everything. All within the matter of a few seconds.

🔷The day before.🔷

   

           We decided to go to a party celebrating the last week of school before spring break. By we I meant me, Ashton, Anne(girl best friend), and sadly Rachel, Ashton's girlfriend.  They had been together for a month and a half now and to say she hated me was an understatement. But the feeling was mutual.

We had been there for about two hours when Anne and I decided it would be better if we went outside to cool off.

As we made our way to the back we kind of got lost and bumped into a couple pretty engrossed in their make out session. It was dark,and I wouldn't have paid attention had i not recognised the girl. It was none other than Rachel.

"Cough cough" I smirked.

At first she was surprised but then her smirk mirrored mine.

"Go ahead and tell him" she mimicked. " We'll see who he believes." And she walked away the jock she had been snogging following her.

I turned to Anne ready to tell her we should go home when she looked at me and smiled. She had recorded the whole thing.

We Called a taxi and I headed home promising to tell Ash the next morning. I should've known better than to wait that long.

🔷Sunday morning🔷

Around lunch time I had told Ash to come over. I told him what I saw and his reply was "she said this would happen."

I stared at him in shock and he protected her.

He choose her over his best friend..

Over me..

And everything started off. He told me he knew. Blamed me, and now I'm left to grieve.
