I was nervous to start a new school and especially during my senior year when mostly everyone has a friend group. I didn't want to admit it through.
We pulled up to our new house. I had only seen it in pictures, and I finally got to see it in person. We climbed out of the car and ran inside to check out the house. My older brother, Rigel, rushed to call dibs on a room. He hasn't quite matured yet even though he's nearly 20, and he is attending college.
Grace, my younger sister, and I looked around the first floor, "are you ready for the new school?" She asked. I just shrugged.
"Lets go find our rooms," I suggested. She followed me up the stairs. We saw our parents setting up their bedroom which was the master and Rigel was setting up in one of the rooms. Their were three more rooms available. One was meant to be a guest bedroom, but we had to choose.
One of the rooms was painted a light purple. I'm more of a tomboy, and I don't really like the color purple. Grace on the other hand is quite feminine, and she choose that room. One of the rooms was down at the end of the hall. I went to check it out and immediately took that room. There were skylights and a decent amount of space to store my things like my instruments. I played the drums, the bass, piano, and the cello. The bass and drums are different from the piano and cello, but I listen to a variety of music.
"Did you grab your things from the trailer?" my mom asked in the door.
"Not yet," I answered.
"Okay, but you need unpack your essentials before school tomorrow," my mother insisted. We managed to move in just in time for the orientation that I had to attend since I was new to the school. Great.
Orientation wasn't bad. It was mostly freshmen except for me and a couple of other kids. Grace was a freshmen, so it wasn't a big deal. I was worried about the next day when we would have to go to school with all of the students. Yikes.
Short little intro chapter to introduce Devin. Lynn stuff next chapter:)))))
