The first day of school is always the same. Everyone wants to impress and show how much they improved over the summer vacation. The first day of school is the day when you make a statement about who you are. Especially the first day of senior year. On this day, you have to have everyone thinking how amazing and hot you are, because if you don't get into the "popular crowd", you have failed all of High School.

Lame.

What happened to actually learning at school? I mean, I wouldn't complain about my status. I have friends in each of my classes, I'm on good terms with everyone in my grade, I study a lot and always go by the school rules, but I'm not a stuck up posh genius who thinks is better than everyone else. I work hard during the school year, but that doesn't mean that I neglect my friends in the process. I try to balance everything out.

Basically, this is me in short:

1. I get good grades.

2. I like going out with my friends.

3. I'm not a slut, but I'm not a nun either.

4. I help anyone in need of anything, but I don't let people walk all over me.

5. I'm nice and polite, but don't cross my temper.

My status in school is neither nerd, nor Queen of School. I'm somewhere in between. I don't tolerate bullying at all. Some of my friends who are in "the popular crowd" think that having students be scared of you and hate you, means that they respect you.

Bullshit.

With me, you know where you stand. If I like you, you'll know, but if I don't like you, you'll also know. I'm not the blonde, gorgeous size 2 fashion model at the school. I am just me. I don't pretend to be someone I'm not. I am a brunette with long hair and brown eyes. Sometimes I wear my hair straight, and sometimes I curl it. Pretty simple. I think I'm an average height, but compared to most girls at my school, I'm considered tall. I'm not anorexic either, I actually have a shape. I don't eat crackers all day, if I feel like eating pizza, I will eat it. I dress how I am comfortable dressing. I wear comfortable shoes. I'm not a goody two shoes, but I don't cause trouble either. I'm quiet balanced actually.

I'm Nadia Anne Miller.

But I go by Nadia.

My friends call me Nad.

And this is the story of a how one boy changed my perspective of life itself.
