The patting of feet could be heard as people ran against the rain, to find the nearest cover. Witches and wizards ducked into stores or disapparated back home. Kaelyn recovered from her shock immediately and grabbed her brothers hand. Together they ran with families of Witches and Wizards.

She panted and gasped, tears running down both of their cheeks as the memory of the monster flashes in their memory with each lightning strike. There was a clap of thunder and the rain fell harder, small hail adding to the mix.

Kaelyn searched the street for a place to hide from the weather in. She spotted a boy holding open a door and ushering three others in before closing it after him. She rushed the the small store and pushed her brother inside.

The noise of the storm was cancelled out immediately from magic, and books surrounded the what looked like a small store on the outside, but was gigantic on the inside.

she slowly stepped forward, mesmerized by the store, and the little bell chimed every time someone threw themselves into the store.

Of course she had seen magic before, but never to this great extent. Books floated from shelf to shelf, and out of peoples hands when they were done, sorting out themselves. Coffee and tea pots levitated across the room, and refilled the cups in people's hands.

Coat racks grabbed coats and hats off people, one tried to grab the backpack and coat off of her brother, but she swatted it away. She then pulled him off to a corner of the store, before crouching down slightly next to him.

He gave a look of worry to her, and she embraced him in a giant hug. Jake cried into her shoulder for a while, before his cried turned into sniffles. Eventually he pulled back from her, and gave one last big sniff.

"Dad will be alright, right?" He asked her, desperate for any reassurance.

"Of course he will, Bud," she softly brushed his long fringe to the side.

"Come, let's sit down and see what we've got," she led him to a coffee table with three beanbags next to it.

Together they opened up every pocket of their backpacks to see what they had packed in their rushed states.

"At least we've got some money," she stared at the small pile of big golden coins, and looked at the bigger pile of silver and bronze coins.

"But with this amount, I'll have to get a job, I wonder if this place has openings..." she sighed, Jake just pulled his teddy (of tigger from Winnie the Pooh) closer to his chest.

Across the room, the four boys stood by the counter, as one tied an apron around his waist, and folded up his sleeves.

"Did you seriously need to choose to work here, Moony?" Asked the taller one of the group.

"I told you, Mate, even with my dad working two jobs, now that my Mum's sick, we just aren't getting enough money, this place has many openings," he picked up his wand, and tucked it into his pouch.

"And we told you, we all have enough money to lend you as much as you need to help your Mum," the boy with the glasses
that sat on top of the counter spoke.

"I could never do that, now, if you excuse me..." he began to climb one of the multiple staircases that lead to more shelves of books, not giving a second glance to the boys.

Sirius gave a big sigh, "that boy needs to learn that us friends do that stuff..." he lent against the spot next to James.

"Ah, but who can convince him, anyways, I think I'm going to search for a good book to read for the Hogwarts Express," James excused himself and started his was to the books.
