I wake up in the middle of a feild. Everything around me is so lively. Branches creatively twist around one another, brown grass flowes in the wind, tree roots jump in and out of the ground vivaciously. But its all dead. Brown. Its cold ,is the only thing i can think to myself as i begin to stand up, only to be cripled to the ground again by the acute pain in my back. It felt as though someon has stuck thousands of needles in my back, and then proceeded to rip them out five at a time. I eventually picked myself up to a standing position and looked up.
The sky was a beutiful navy blue. It wasnt the blue I was used to seeing on earth, it was dark. I sill remembered it though, it brought me home, I was home. I sighed a little and began to explore more. We were on the other side of the planite from were I lived. Eventually, i found the NASA ship I came here I with four other crew members. They wernt around, they wernt alive.
I tried to warn them in training that the planite was toxic, they laughed at me untill the day before we landed. They knew that the rovers had picked up no signal of danger, I knew that was wrong. I tried to tell them exactly why. I even reveailed my identity to them right before we got on the ship when we had a bit of privicy from recordings. I tried, but to no avail. The last thing Paul ( who was the engineer) said was," I should have trusted you". That was when I passed out from the impact.
I was evacuated from the planite onehundred orbits ago on the promise that I could come back when things were better. We were in a war I call the Toxic War, it was as literal as the word could get. No side agreed with the other, so I, as well as fiftey other young were sent in different vessals to fiftey different planets. we were the last hope for lrqart.
Now, as I loked into the distance to see dead plants, dead animals, dead humans, a dead spacecreaft and an overall decesed lanscape. I smiled, talking plesure and pride to say that after all the deaths that had taken place here, mine would be the last.
