Katsuki Yuuri, age 17
Yuuri woke up in a cold normal morning, yawning before letting his bare feet touch the cold floor. He stood up, still tired, and changed into is school uniform. As he was done he put on his glasses and looked at himself in the mirror. His school uniform was plain black with golden buttons. He gripped his blue tie, the color blue is symboling that he's a second year. He went downstairs, greeted his older sister, Mari, before sitting down by one of the low tables. His family runs Yu-topia Akatsuki, the hot springs resort that his family has been running for ages. Yuuri has been offered to help out after graduating but he politely declined the offer. He wanted to become the best figure skater in Japan, and maybe in the whole world.
Acknowledging his skills and wishes, they let him decide his own future. Yuuri feels a little selfish though, but he's grateful that he has a nice family. Yuuri's mother, Hiroko, entered the room with food in her hands, greeting Yuuri.
"Good morning, Yuuri! I made extra bacons for breakfast to you as good luck on the math test today!" She said and smiled. Yuuri felt his mouth begin to water. Bacon was the next best thing he knew, but nothing could ever rival his favorite food, katsudon! Yuuri rolled up his sleeves, waiting for his mother to serve the food.
"Oh, and don't worry about taking Vicchan for a walk today, Mari wi-" Hiroko started but suddenly gasped and almost dropped the food in her hands. Surprised Yuuri turned his head to his mother, meeting a shocked face. Hiroko quickly put down the food and then clasped her her hands together, looking overjoyed.
"Honey, come here!" Hiroko called Yuuri's father, Toshio, and a few moments later he showed up with Mari by his side.
"What is it, sweetheart?" He asked confused but looked at the direction his wife was pointing. She was pointing on Yuuri's wrist, confused by their actions he looked down at his left wrist and saw 9 numbers on the wrist that wasn't there yesterday. He knew what those numbers meant, it is a countdown to his and his soulmate's first meeting.
"Finally yours are appearing too! I was worried that yours would never come until it's too late and you would live a lonely life.." Hiroko said, wiping away a tear. Toshio and Mari smiled too and pulled Yuuri in a group hug.
For most humans, the numbers appears around age 10. But there are some unfortunate humans that have their numbers appearing very late, and some of them gets their numbers just before their death date.
Yuuri thinks that his family is overreacting. He couldn't care less about his destined one, like the older scientists says. He just wanted to focus on ice skating, nothing else mattered. Honestly he had hoped that his numbers never would appear so he could avoid the consequences after meeting his soulmate.
His main goal was to win the Grand Prix Final and surpass his idol figure skater, Viktor Nikiforov.

Katsuki Yuuri, age 23
Humilated.
Yuuri has never been so humiliated, his pride got shattered into small pieces like glass. He felt his confidence drop to zero when seeing the results, he was placed last in the Grand Prix Final. He, who had been working so hard, only to be greeted by an utter loss. Feeling depressed, he walked into the men's toilets and locked himself in a booth. He dialed his mother's number and waited for her to pick up.
