The Start

Donnie's Pov

It was just a simple day at Dennison high a pretty strict school that made us wear these locket/collar things to get into the buiding. I was a senior in math class trying to get as much done as possible ,but a teenager can only do so much am I right? Little did I know that all hell would break loose with just a flicker of the lights. As the lights flickered in the classroom everyone turned there attention towards the left side of the room. "Hello students" the principal said with a sinister smirk on his face. "I honestly didn't expect this to be happening so soon , but alas it is time for this event to begin." What the hell was this guy talking about thats when he did the unexpected. A loud snap was all we heard as principal grey snapped the neck of a guy sitting right in front of him.

The girl beside me gasped in horror I'd be lying if I didn't say I was completely mortified as well. Then on the other side of the room we heard another snap. Our math teacher Mrs.Tander snapped the neck of a student too a girl sitting right next to me. What was going on if this is a joke it surely wasn't funny. That's when the lights flickered off then back on. Principal grey and Mrs.Tander were nowhere leaving the sight of the two students they mercilessly killed. The principal and teacher may have been gone ,but they had clearly left the madness for us to deal with with. Every one was screaming and some threatened to just end it all even though we hardly even knew what was going on. That's when the speaker buzzed "principal grey" I thought still shaking from what just happened. "Attention students it is time for an old tradition to be brought back you see every twenty nine years Dennison city has a oh so wonderful event where the first person to get 99 kills wins gets full control of the entire city once you've completed a kill you'll use your school locket to keep track of your kills by scanning the dead body, good luck." This was sick so terribly sick.

We froze it was as if time stopped itself. I couldn't kill I wouldn't. How could somthing so horrible start on a supposedly normal day. It was no longer normal it was chaotic. "Power" the blonde headed girl behind me whispered. I was pretty sure her name was Penny she was the emo type who always did the unexpected. I looked behind me and heard an ear piercing scream. Oh my god she stabbed someone with a sharp pencil, then another person, and another. That's when she turned my way, I was frozen. She inched closer with a wicked grin while my face held a cowardly and feared expression. She continued walking closer losing her sanity in every step... I remained frozen. "Get away from him" this girl with tanned skin, and dark hair growled as she jumped the blonde headed psycho. God was I grateful , but I felt horrible just watching this unknown person fight for MY life. The guilt got to me so I intervened still shaking from the horror I've faced.

I grabbed Penny from the back as she hissed, kicked, and stabbed at my arms. I winced as she got a pretty good scratch on my arm. Then the tanned girl stabbed Penny in the stomach with a switchblade. Why didn't she use it sooner?!? I panicked and slammed the blonde into a nearby desk. She wasn't moving...OH MY LORD. DID I JUST KILL HER OH NONONONONONONO. I was hesitantly moving near her. This shouldn't be happening. Then she freaking jumped me scratching at me with black painted nails I screamed and slammed her against the desk multiple times. I stopped once I saw her blood pooling onto the desk. I covered my eye's I couldn't handle this. I heard a laugh and turned my head at the dark haired girl. WHY WAS SHE LAUGHING!?! I honestly scared shitless right now. "Are you okay?" The girl asked giving me a bright smile showing her blue colored braces. "NO IM NOT OKAY," I shouted. Who would be okay in this situation. She looked amused by my reaction, she grabbed my hand and led me out of the school there were literally no living students some dead most of them just...gone. The city looked deserted ,but I knew better than to assume they left no way would someone give up infinite power of our large populated city. The city had a huge population ,so I was surprised that no one was in sight. I looked at the girl running in front of me. Who is this and where are we going?
