My tongue feels like cotton in my mouth and my nose burns with a scent that I don't recognize. I try to move my hands to rub my aching temples but the sting of ropes against my skin stops me. My eyes snap open and I look down to see my feet tied as well. I fight against the ropes, ignoring the pain as they bite farther and farther into my skin.

"It's no use, I already tried." chokes out a familiar, deep, voice behind me. I turn around and see Derek. My heart drops to my stomach as I remember what happened at the mausoleum. I shake my head frantically as I frantically wrestle with the bindings.

"Kate! Kate stop!" He yells, his voice getting stronger. I stop and lean back against the pole, trying not to cry.

"Where are the others?" I asked, my voice shaking.

"I don't know.I haven't seen anyone since I got here." he replied looking down and biting his lip.

"This isn't your fault. You didn't dare Britney to go in. You didn't insist that we go look for her." I told him. His head snaps up shock written on his face. He didn't expect me to read him so easily. His shock morphs into something like concern.

"Its not yours either." he whispers, looking me in the eyes, almost begging me to believe it myself. I didn't bother to reply, just shook my head and looked down at the cold, cement floor. Finding myself curious about where I was, I lifted my head and looked around.

Cements walls and cement floors paired with wooden posts scattered throughout the room. No windows. Door on the far end, probably chained and locked on the outside. Nothing left on the floor to cut the ropes. No way out. I leaned my head against the pole and closed my eyes tight, willing this nightmare away.

I pick my head up quickly of the post as I hear the clinking of keys and the thump of footsteps coming towards the building. I hear the sounds of chains, confirming my earlier assumption, and then the door is open a thin figure stands in the doorway. I can't make out the face of it because the sun is too bright and leaves her looking like a shadow. Something glints in her hand, something shiny. A knife.

"Truth or dare, Kate."
