You ran clutching your book ,you stole from the bookshop just now, closer to your chest. Your (H/L) (H/C) flew behind your face. The bookshop owner had been chasing after you for a good amount of time until he stopped for a moment. You also stopped and wiped your forehead. He began running again and called out curses to you that were not for childrens ears.
When you turned back to see if he had stopped your body met another you fell back to the sidewalk, still clutching the book you stole to your chest. "AHHH!" The man exclaimed and picked you up, hugging you.
"My dear sister! I was wondering where you had to run off to, especially without telling me," He scolded and slid the book inside his jacket. The bookshop owner had paused and took deep breaths, trying to get his breath back.
"THAT SCOUNDREL OF A WOMAN STOLE," Huff Puff, "STOLE ONE OF MY BOOKS!" The older man seem to pull back and raise an eyebrow before walking up to the man and sighing. "There's no book here sir. As you can see. And if my eyes do not deceive me then you were chasing an innocent woman down the street for apparently 'stealing' a book." He stated, holding out his arms to indicate there was no sign of the book. Which there isn't of course. If you skipped this far you asshole go back and read.
Anyway, the bookshop owner just gave up and went back, pushing past many people who only glared. You stare at the man in honour and when you lean against the wall to keep yourself upright from what just happened, he turned. Your gazes caught instantly and he smiled. Your eyes widened from the small blush that spread across his cheeks. You suddenly realise who this man who literally saved your ass. This was Alexander Hamilton. The one man who you thought you'd never see in your life unless you either joined the war or joined parliament. And both of those plans decided to fail. You gulp, pulling the neck of your shirt so you can take a breath. Alexander Hamilton was the biggest scoundrel and man-whore known in upstate. However in the south, such as here, he was practically royalty. Women threw their undergarments at him and men throw their money at him just so they can have drinks.
Enough about his backstory and more about his face. OH GOD HIS FACE. Only on the first meeting of yours you had already fell head-over-heels for this man. His chocolate brown eyes swirled with emotions which his face held the same smile ever since he looked at you. His brown hair was held back in a small ponytail. His jacket was a royal blue and his cravat neatly placed in his neckbrace.
Bringing yourself back into reality, you smile back and forward bow slightly. You were certainly a different woman from the rest. Your hair was a mess or (H/C) with streaks of brown/blonde. Your (E/C) orbs stare into his, locked in a small staring competition. Your clothes consisted of a pair of light brown trousers and a white tuck in shirt that was given as a gift. Your shoes were worn down and slightly damaged.
Hamilton handed back the book and rubbed the back of his head,
"Im sure you already know my name," You nod and chuckle slightly, "Ha... My names (Your Name) (Last name)," you shake his outstretched hand once you took the book. "That's a nice name, now why are you out here stealing books?" He asked, linking his arm in yours and dragging you away as a crowd started to form. You blush from the contact and cough, looking at the book you took. You needed it, for your studies and for your own book you are currently writing.
"I'm afraid if I tell you, you would laugh," You admit, knowing that his expression would be one of a mad man, laughing in the face of danger. He raised an eyebrow again and relaxed slightly.
"It would be my honour if i could hear what m'lady thinks of herself," He smiles and brushes your hair away from your eye and behind your ear. We both stopped in front of a modern house, it was a pale yellow and the roof was a lovely dull red colour. Alexander led you and in closed the door behind him. You sat awkwardly on the edge of his sofa. You noticed a piano in the middle of the room. There was a carpet that laid across the floor. The kitchen was to your right and his study door was closed, but to your left. His stairs next to the study. As he walked into the kitchen, presumably to make tea, He asked again.
"So, if im allowed please tell me what you were doing with that book," He pointed to the book on the side of the sofa. You put your head in your hands, knowing what you did suddenly got to you. You wasn't a bad person, you were just desperate and... lonely. The other books you read in your one placed 'apartment' had already consumed your days and now you seeked more.
"I-I," you stammered, "I write... I'm an author," you paused, expecting to hear his laughter but no, only his sigh. "That's it?" The man seemed to, smiling? Oh god. "You're an author hu?" You nod, and clutch the tea he made in between your freezing fingers. "I go under the name of Ashton Tyrin," As you sipped, Hamilton seemed to spit out his own tea, coughing violently. You patted his back, hoping he didn't choke. "YOU'RE ASHTON TYRIN?" He gasped and got up, rushing to his study for a few moment before rushing out with book clutched in his hands. What on Earth has he-. You paused mid thought when you read the title and who it was by. Your blush reformed again but for darker, as you felt it. The inhuman noise you let out gave Alexander a glimpse of hope.
