Dragon Ball Xenoverse

Part one

(I put all the creativity I had into this story so the title sucks. ^^;;)
After finishing another mission requested by Trunks I think about what he told me right before I left.
/"Hey! When you get back I have a surprise for you, so you better come back safe and sound! Good luck!"/
I mean he always wishes me good luck but the fact that he has a surprise is shocking in itself. I wonder what it is I think to myself, luckily while time traveling it takes awhile to actually get back so I get some time to myself to rest and think. I always thought I was so lucky to be here, er, there with Trunks and the Supreme Kai of Time. I don't remember much of my old life such as who I am and my family or where I'm from, but I remember how to fight, eat, breathe, talk, and just be a good person, we always thought that was strange but didn't question it too much. I personally thought I was a good person so who ever raised me did a good job of it and I appreciate what they've done to make me the person I am. Ah, I'm getting off track here, anyways.. I always look forward to these missions I get to train and get to know the "Z fighters", as Trunks calls them, they were all nice people and I'm glad fate and Shenron brought me here. Now about that surprise— my thoughts get interrupted by the sudden change in scenery. I'm back.
"Ah finally you're back! Good job out there, I could never thank you enough, truly, you're helping me, my friends and family, the timeline, and even the whole universe! And for nothing in return but a simple thank you.." he trails off. "But that's why I got you this!" Trunks holds up a long silver chain with a simplistic pendant hanging from the bottom with a single luz opal placed in the middle of it. My eyes widen. "W-wow Trunks, that's so sweet, thank you. But really, don't worry about thanking me or giving me stuff to repay me, if I didn't want to help I wouldn't have. I'm glad I'm here, I got to meet you and go on this journey, I don't know how my life was before I got here but I know this is way better." He looked as shocked as I felt earlier, maybe he confused about my little spiel? Then he just burst out laughing. Man why is he making this situation even more confusing? I don't understand what he's laughing about but I go along with it.
