Prologue: The End

The only thing I could remember was a big BOOM! That's when I fell from Carter. The only thing I could feel was my head turning. My parents ran into the arena to get me. It had been the 17th of April in "The White Swan Horse Jumping Club" and, I was crying because of the pain, I couldn't stand it. That day I felt true pain, not because of my back, but because of my horse. Carter ... well...he...he was worse than I was. He was leaving me because of a vaccination. He couldn't stand up, I tried to hurry to get him, but my back was in pain, and they were taking him to the vet try to see if they could do something to make him feel better. But that clearly wasn't the case.

I went home see if my back or soul were any better, but the news just got worse

"Mom, what's wrong? 

"Well, Reagan dear...um...as you know they are vaccinating Carter and they are doing it tonight" she said in an upseting voice

"Mom you can't let them do that, he is MY horse!"

"Listen I know but they are experts they are doing what's best for him, and I mean who want's a horse that can't stand up?

" I DO! If I couldn't stand up would you abandon me?"

She just stared at me in silence...

"Would you!"

She just kept staring

"Yeah that's what I thought"

"Reagan, I know that super upset right now, but it's no reason to talk to me like that!"

To be honest I wasn't really listening to her I was thinking what they could be doing to Carter. So I just turned around and said " Good Night mom". She gave a sigh and said the same thing.

That night I forgot about my pain both my back and soul and concentrated on moving on, I had lost too many things from the past...
