Silence filled the air. I knew they were watching me, I didn't want to admit it but I knew they were there. As I took a deep breath the tears began to roll from my face. The moonlight night came through the far side of the trees, making it an extraordinary sight. This isn't a bad place to die. I thought to myself. Branches danced to the wind, expressing their thoughts to one another, like whispers. Chills began to climbed up my neck as I attempted to hold my thoughts in place. They could smell fear, and I reeked of it. You could smell that burning stench for miles, it was like the sticky sweet syrup on pancakes for them. They loved it. It kept the burning desire in them alive.
The snapping of twigs indicated that they were coming closer now, in a form I could not explain. One of them step forward and his face lit up like a light bulb. Blood leaked from the corners of his mouth, with the look of death in his eyes.
I thrusted my body to left, snapping the twigs beneath me. The wind was howling now. A piercing noise came out of nowhere, and the pain was excruciating. I covered my ears, the warm liquid came trickling down. I couldn't get away running. I was powerless against them. My body crashed into another man, I didn't have time to see his face before I blacked out. I woke up later with my hands bound as one. The lights flickered on and off offering an eerie glow. I could hear the murmurs of 2 men waiting outside the door. All I could make out were, " Death"and "concealed." A man slowly but tauntingly opened the door. His hands saturated with blood, stroking my face. "If only your parents could see you now." He hissed.
