"Jenny! It's time for bed." My mother yelled. I was staring at the rainbows when I heard her call.
"Coming!" I responded. My mother was standing by my bed, ready to tuck me in.
"Good night dear..." She said, draping the blanket up to my nose. I closed my tired eyes, and drifted to a slumber. And then...
I was in a world. People were sad and mad, but that is not what it is like in my dreams?
"Excuse me!" I exclaimed.
"What do you want kid!" She snapped back. The old woman's eyes wrinkled, and I cringed.
"I was wondering where I am..." I said weakly.
"Its a sorrowful world." She said in a low and sad voice.
"Thank you." I replied, then walked around the area. People were weeping, and fighting. She was right. This was a sorrowful world. Tears were brought to my eyes when I scanned the sad place. It seemed as if the last shred of happiness had been ripped from people's hearts. In this world, my happiness seemed to vanish too. By now, I looked like a citizen in the city of tears.
"Hi!" I exclaimed.
"Hi. A weak voice spoke to me.
"...Come..." he said. He lifted a giant bird cage from the clouds underneath us.
"Wait, stop!" I tried to yell.
"Too late..." He snickered, then left.
"Come back!" I yelled, but it seemed as if he vanished out of thin air, into a puff of smoke.
"HELP!!!" I yelled, concealed by the golden bars. My voice echoed, then disappeared.
