Screams filled her ears. This was brand new to her. . . Such a feeling of fear and helplessness. It was strong enough to make tears swell up in her hands as her small, cold hands gripped the freezing like bars that kept her at bay. Everything spun around so. . . Fast. One minute she was having the time of her life, then all she saw was. . . Darkness. Complete and utter darkness. It was terrifying. She had never witnessed such fear before.
She hadn't thought this would happen. Not at all. Yes, she heard about all the mages getting captured and such but, she didn't think it'd happen to her personally. She had always avoided the thought. This whole thing was basically a war. The men in black versus the mages. And so far, the men in black were winning. Sadly, a small girl such as her couldn't do anything. She was simply a small, helpless, captive that felt like bawling her eyes out. The war just made its way into her town and fire now engulfed the small village. The buildings collapsed completely, and the people that wasn't captured was most likely dead. And the poor girl watched her mother and father be burnt alive. Luckily, she knew her older brother and younger sister was alive. But the memories of her mother's burning flesh would never leave her mind. The smell was implanted into her, along with the screams and cries. It was something that she'd never forget.
The girl's name was Asami Fukao. A child with long blonde hair and beautiful green optics. She was 14, just under 5 feet. She had a ragged white dress on. It was ripped and dirty and was barely long enough to cover her up fully.
"Asami-Nee. . ." A small child spoke from the corner of the cell, hugging her knees to her chest. "I'm scared. . ." The child spoke, her shaky, squeaky voice barely above a whisper. Her name was Sakura Fukao, A child with long blonde hair and shining pink optics. She was barely the age of 6, a fearful gleam in her shining orbs.
"i know. . . I am too, Sakura." Asami admitted, hands releasing the bars of the cell to walk over towards her younger sister, kneeling down in front of her and wrapping her short arms around her. "Don't worry. . . It'll all be alright. I'm sure Taruo will be back soon. . . Hopefully." Letting her blonde strands fall in her face, the blonde flopped back on the floor, whimpering slightly as her sore, bare legs hit the cold concrete floor. "Ow. . ." The fragile teen huffed out, hands rubbing her smooth, yet dirty legs gently to try and ease the pain. It didn't exactly work, they still ( hurt ).
"i Can he--", "No!" Asami immediately cut Sakura off, shaking her head rapidly. "You know we can't do anything like that in here." Asami scolded, but in a soft whisper. Sakura hung her head, but nodded in understanding. The only people who were allowed to use any sort of magic in this place was the guards and the leader. Everyone held in this hell hole was either a mage or someone who held magical potential. Sakura, Asami and Taruo all held magical abilities. Sakura had three. Healing, enhancing spells, and Aquakinesis - mastery over water. Asami had three abilities as well. Ice magic, Projection - ability to transmit images and feelings to the minds of others, and Elenchus - ability to distinguish lie from truth, also known as truth seeking. Extremely rare. Then there was Taruo. He had Pyrokinesis - mastery over fire, Fulgurkinesis - mastery over lightning and time magic. Yet now, they couldn't use any magic. The chains that bounded their feet and arms were magic resistant so magic was canceled out.
Soon the barred doors opened, a tall male throwing in a boy about 6'0. He whimpered when hitting the floor, Asami's eyes going wide. "Taruo!" she shouted out, running over towards her older brother. Sakura followed behind her, them now by his side for aid. "Are you olay. . .?" The taller blonde questioned, raising her brother up some into her lap. The boy was tall and slim, bright blue orbs too. His name was Taruo Fukao.
"I'm alright, don't worry." He slowly rose himself up and grunted slightly, gripping his newly wounded arm. All three of them were wounded and beaten but Taruo had it the worst, since he took the punishments for his two sisters. The guard that was standing at the door closed the caged door and locked it once again. Tarou narrowed his bright blue orbs and glanced towards his two sisters. "We're getting out of here." That wasn't just a few meaningless words, he definitely meant them.
"But how. . . ? Every other time we've tried, we've gotten caught. . ." Sakura whispered, carrying out her last word with a soft sigh of sorts. She allowed her long blonde hair to fall in her face, looking down at the concrete floor. "And plus, if we do get out of here, then what? We have nothing to go home to." The small petite child whispered out in honesty, her voice shaking. "And even if we did, how do you know that we'll make it out alive. . .?"
Asami looked up at the ceiling and sighed, green orbs shutting. "You. . . Have a point."
