I'm aware of the fact that starting a new story off with an author's note is extremely tacky. I'm also aware of the fact that I don't really care because there is a lot that I want to say before this story even begins:
1. I have no idea where I'm going with this. As a wise man once said, there are architects and gardeners in the writing world. I am a gardener. Architects know exactly what's going to happen and when because they've already planned everything out before they've even started. Gardeners only have an idea of what their seeds are supposed to produce.
2. There's a reason that I decided to mark this story as Mature. Please only read Amongst The Colours if you are emotionally mature enough to handle such content.
3. Trigger Warning: There will be cussing, violence, sexual scenes, suicidal ideation, and character death. Anything else that comes up is going to be a surprise for all of us. If there's an asterisk (*) after the chapter name, expect there to be triggering content. The following chapter will contain a quick recap for those who needed to skip a chapter, so that they may be informed of important plot details before continuing.
4. There won't be an update schedule. Sometimes, there will be a longer wait between chapters than others. Writer's Block is bound to happen to a gardener such as myself. Because with no map of where to go, I could literally go in any direction. Sometimes, the options get overwhelming.
5. This story is my baby. Please don't insult my child.
