"Hey look at me it's okay. Daddy and mommy just want to give you a bath okay?" I said. She shook her head no then went to rub her eyes. I was a bit nervous if we would see something wrong with her body.
Whitney inched closer and got on her knees and slowly took her shirt off as Mya stood in between my legs. I heard her exhaled then she continued until Mya was undressed then I put her in the tub and sat back on the toilet while Whitney started to wash her off.

The Whitney started singing while bathing her.

"Mommy's and daddy always believe that there little angels are special indeed And you could grow up to be anything But who would imagine a king." She continued with their song and cleaned Mya's face. Mya seemed so calm after this. When she was done I had a towel ready to pick her out the tub and we went back down to her room where Karen was so she could be checked out.

Karen checked all over her while Mya cried out until she fell asleep again. We left out of her room after we put her to bed and went out into the living room to talk to Karen.

"To be seven she has needs to grow a lot more. She is below the scales. She had some healing bruises on her back." She said. Everyone reacted.

"My god." Mama Cissy said.

"My baby." Whitney said.

"She needs regular check ups. More nutrition and food regularly. It's going to be a long road for all of you. She is going to fight you on this but you have to hang in there." She told us as she stood up. I walked her to the door while Whitney cried to Mama Cissy.

We all hung around till night fall for our next move. My lawyer called me and told me he would meet me at my hotel in the morning to talk about the legal papers. So I went back to Michaela's room and sat in a rocking chair drifting off to sleep. After a while I felt someone throw a blanket across me. Then I woke up to someone taking the blanket from across my chest and climbing on my lap with the blanket again.

I looked down to see Michaela wrapping herself and the blanket around us as she dugged her head into my chest getting comfortable. I put my arms around her and we fell back asleep. I again the Mama Cissy saying it's time for breakfast. I stood up with Michaela's arms wrapped around my arms holding on tight.

I put her on the bed and pried her arms from around my neck. Then stepped out the room quietly closing the door behind me. I went to the bathroom and do other hygiene things.

I walked into the kitchen and was greeted my Mama Cissy.

"Hey son." She said as I sat down a the table.

"Hey mama. How are you this morning?" I asked her.

"I'm good baby and how was my grandbaby last night?" She asked me as she sat down some coffee in front of me.

"She was good. Only woke up once through the night." I told her.

"And let me guess that was how she ended up sleeping on your chest when I came upstairs this morning." She said raising her eyebrows at me. I looked down in my coffee and smiled.

"I wouldn't want it any other way. I can't believe I missed 2 years with my daughter. I have to get those back mama." I told her. She fixed some plates with hot breakfast smiling.

"Let me ask you this Michael. Have you told your called your family yet?" She asked me.

"No I haven't. I know I need to tell my mother and family but is it wrong of me to want to keep her away from everyone and to myself?" I asked her as she sat down her and I plate and sat across from me.

"It's not wrong Michael but remember what you were feeling is still what they feeling for her and you. I'm sure your mother wants to feel the same joy I felt when it came to see that little girls sweet innocent face again." She said.
