Shadows of my bones linger

Along the walls of the lab.

The green blood of the tree

Consumes the counter top and drips

On to the floor where lies

The body below.

Eyes wide open as the man slowly

Dies in the puddle.

He struggles for air but the wind

Is the only bystander.
