  Chapter One

He stood there staring out into the horizon as if there was somewhere he could ever venture to. Somewhere everyone understood who he was and excepted him for every misunderstanding no one else could see past. He wanted a life which could be free and may I say real. He needed the purity of a unmistakable fantasy the ever easy story line for a happy ending. That he never got.

I never knew him well. He'd come and go as he pleased, I wouldn't blame him for going as often as he does. We lived in a remote village that wasn't even located on a map; The nearest supermarket or corner shop was around a half hour drive and no one really was up to that nowadays. Unfortunately, teenagers are age would most probably be getting drunk and getting takeaways with friends or shopping in the mall every weekend but not us village kids, we have to go out for wood in the forest at the crack of dawn and wear hand me downs from village neighbours. Im not complaining but a change of scenery could do me good.

His name was Peter, a old fashioned name you could say. He had hair as black as the night sky and brown eyes that sparkled when outside, vulnerable to the light from the sun. He was confined and was never about to talk too and he was the same to his own family. He goes to my school and is in all my lessons but sits in the back of the class and doesn't utter a single word. He makes me want to find out more about him, I get curious whenever he is about, eager to find out who he is and where he escapes off too.

  Chapter Two

It was the start of term a fresh start for everyone I suppose. I was never really into school and never really fitted in but I got by. As first lessons go, I suppose it was alright. I got sat next to the mystery kid (Peter), he didnt glance in any direction other than the clock that sat happily on the wall in front of us.

Thankfully the day ended and I was beginning my daily treck home when I saw him again, I didn't intentionally follow him, he just was there.

"Where was he off too" I murmured to myself and without thinking twice followed him through the forest. It was hard to keep up with him and stay silent at the same time, as twigs were everywhere and was anticipating on me to snap them momentarily. We were so far in the woods now that I could no longer see the way back and began to panic, realising that if I lost him now I would no longer know how to get home. With all the worry rattling around in my head I lost all concentration and was being reckless with every step I took, twigs snapped and cracked as if they were ticking time bombs. It didn't take him long to turn around and find me standing there staring back at him with all the vulnerability in the world.

  Chapter Three

Our eyes locked on one and others before he strided towards me as if he was going to murder me with a few jabs to the chest.

"What are you doing here? Are you following me?" Questioned the boy that towered over me, with no thought to how petrified I was.

"No...Well yes bu-" He interpreted me and began to talk again.

"Just leave." he said in a innocent tone.

"No, I want to stay" I mummured back at him

He shrugged his shoulders and gesture for me to walk by him.

"Why?" he said.

"Why what?"

"Why do you insist on coming with me"

"Well its obvious that we both need as many friends as we can get and you always wonder off from the village and I was curious to where" I replied back with smile that seemed almost too fake.
