Hi, my name is Jack. I am 13 years old and I attend Starr City Middle School. The city I live in is quite cramped, considering many people live here. I live on the west coast, where the farms and creeks stretch for as far as the eye can see. Living here is quite the privilege. There are so many areas to venture to; Seegfrieg Pass is one of my favorites. The people here are kind and generous. They help the community a lot.
I live with my dad and my older brother Walter. My brother is getting ready to graduate high school. Not only does he have the grades in the high 90's, but also has a lot of talents. Playing 2 instruments and singing in the highest choral group in the schools is some talent. My mom is no longer with us. She was killed in a raid on our house. To think that was almost 5 years ago.
That leaves me with my dad. Oh boy, where do I start? He is a street racer. He has been doing it for as long as I can remember. He is a wiz when it comes to cars, and let me tell you, he knows how to drive a car. The payouts for these races are quite generous.
I am currently in 8th grade. I turn 14 in a couple of months. Could life get any better than this?

My daydreaming session is over, and its time to get off the bus. Today was a great day, but the devastation is yet to come. I opened the front door to my dad cooking something with a heavenly odor. I instantly recognized it, for it was one of my favorite dishes. It costs quite a bit to make, which is why I was shocked to figure out what we were having that for dinner.
"Dad, why are you cooking that?"
"Because I know both you and your brother like it. Its almost done, so don't go anywhere."
I took a seat at the redwood kitchen table. The shinny plates and silverware were already placed on the table. About 5-ish minutes later, dinner was served. I am so excited for this race coming up. Many people have been waiting for it. I couldn't imagine what would happen if my dad were to win this. Classmates who know me in school know that I can be competitive. They won't want to mess with me for sure!
Same with my dad. Me and him will go at it drawing, seeing who can draw this or that the best. He is especially competitive when it comes to racing. Although he is competitive, he always is fair. He has never cheated during a race before. Im surprised that he hasn't, because many on the rivals list before him cheated in order to get high on the rivals list
Its time to go! I'm so excited! If my dad wins, he will be number 1 on the rivals list. It would make us famous! It would make my dad the king of all racers! My dad had to leave early due to him being one of the racers. My brother would be taking me to the race itself an hour after my dad leaves.
