Hi. I'm Gerard. The photographer's son.

"No, that's too casual." I growled, crumpling the paper and throwing it in my overflowing waste paper basket.

Hello. I'm Gerard Way. Also known as the photographer's son, who works at-

"Ugh..." I sighed, giving up.

I set my journal on my desk, closing it carefully. I wanted to journal things, but I just seemed to never figure out how to start it out. I was the photographer's son. It was like that title owned me. That's all I was known to be. The son of a photographer. Just that. People usually knew only that. Not my name or where I went after school or what classes I was taking at my school. The last time I heard someone say my first name was last year when a substitute wanted to stay formal. It never mattered. This is usually how roll call went:

"Way? The photographer's son?"

It was because my father ran a photography store where you could develop photos, purchase frames, etc. It was called Way Photography and Developing. Catchy, isn't it?

I'm Gerard. That's it. I'm just Gerard. It's only a coincidence that I was born to the man who owns a photography and development shop. I'm an individual, no matter how much I believe that I'm owned by my titles. I'm Gerard. Surprisingly, I am also a photographer. My specialty is people. I'm always seen with my camera snapping pictures of people, with permission unless it's a city scape, and adding them to my collection. I never really have one person. I always have one of each person I think is worthy of a photograph. Which is sometimes rare. Most people I've met have no personality that should be savored in a Polaroid picture. Anyway, stay tuned if you think I'm not that boring. This journey may be interesting.
