Grace has always been a quiet child. She always chose to carry a book with her wherever she went, whether it was a party, a family event or even a trip to the beach. Which is why even now, as she sat in a corner watching the other children play together at her aunt's dinner party, Grace didn't join them. There was a loud sound of thunder and Grace saw her father look through the window at the sky in worry. She knew that he was thinking of mum driving alone in such a rainy whether at this time of the night to come to the dinner party. She too hoped that nothing would happen and her mum would arrive safely... but that night was going to change her whole life.
