Saturday Afternoon Miles POV

Death. I thought about it for a while but it never really scared me. Everyday I knew that even the slightest thing can increase my chances of death by like 40%. However, death has started to weigh on my mind more often. I see my parents everyday looking so scared. But that is one of the things I hate about death. The sad people, the damp tissues, the mediocre repast. That's what sucks about death. As I was in my life or death moment I heard a knock on the door.
" Hey broseph!" Jax said as he came in for a hug. " Hey action Jackson, what's up?" I asked as I walked back towards my bed. "Nothing much, just chillin, how are you and your kidneys?" "I'm trying to manage but my kidneys are making improvements, very, very, very slow improvements." I lied. While I was doing my best to power through the pain, nothing was getting any better. "Well at least something is happening! So what have you been doing?" He asked. "Medical tests, video games, homework, writing music, playing music, doing treatments, and talking to you and Alya." I listed. "Cool! So are you allowed to go out for a little bit?" Jax asked as if he had a idea in mind. " I'll ask Nurse Jackson. As I got ready something told me not to go out anywhere. I hate being sick all time and having to lay in a bed all day. I put on a shirt, some joggers, and my black vans. Jax said that I should bring Alya along for our little field trip. While we were waiting for Alya, Jax and I went to ask if we could go out for a bit.

"Nurse Jackson can Jax and I go out for a bit to hang out?" I asked leaning against the nurses counter. "Miles you have come a long way seeing as how you have been here for five days, so I guess you can go out for a bit. However, you have to wear this," Nurse Jackson handed me a hand held machine. "What's this for?" I asked. "It's a hand held monitor for you kidneys. One beep means be careful. Two beeps mean to rest. Then three beeps means come back to the hospital. Got it?" She asked." Got it," I said. Jax said that we were going to the trampoline park. At first he asked if it was okay with me and my current condition. To be honest it really isn't but sometimes I have to live a little bit. Once we got our wristbands I went to the bathroom and attached the machine to where my kidneys were. It was finally time to focus on fun I thought. First Jax and I went to the foam pit. Jax did a double front flip and landed softly into the pit of foam cubes. I did a basic backflip into the foam cubes. That's when I got one beep from the monitor in my pocket. Next we went on the open trampolines where everybody was at. We raced to see who could run across the line of trampolines the fastest and who could do the most cartwheels. Every time I did a trick I got two beeps. "Dude Nurse J told you to sit down at two beeps," Jax said. I told Jax it was fine and that I feel fine better yet great. Even though I'm not big into sports Jax took me to the trampoline basketball court. I had managed to make three slam dunks on Jax. After basically demolishing Jax at basketball I got a text from Alya.

"Ready to resume?" Jax asked while looking over my shoulder. "Sure, let's do it!" I said ready to crush Jax again.
