Caged My Heart
A captive of fear
Fading in silence
Bleeding my tears
Flames burning black
Killing me inside out
Biting frost cracking
Ripping my veins apart
Beating rapidly
Rattling its cage
Trying to escape
Thorn’d shadow’s chase
But leave it can not
For its end it shall meet
Lurking just out of sight
Prancing and taunting in spite
Yet merciless time
Ticks away
The tears dry out
The hope despairs
For Death awaits
Patiently eyeing
My Heart unheard
Grieving … and beating direly
