Ravenclaw Common Room Disaster ~ Short Story

The Story

It was half past midnight at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry. The Ravenclaw common room was empty except for two students, Aviva Hart and Skylar Onalias. They had enough Charms homework to last them the whole month. Aviva was a hard working student, but she didn't necessarily get the best marks. Skylar was a brainy student who could flip through homework easily, but she was very stressed on a certain assignment. They were best friends since their second year. They were both 15 and in their O.W.L year. But, to their surprise, a tawny owl came flying through their window.
"Hm.. do you know this owl, Aviva?" asked Skylar.
"Mm.. no." Aviva responded. The owl had a gold envelope in its mouth. Aviva took it and the owl set off. Aviva opened the letter and started perusing it.
"Dear Ms. Hart, I regret to inform you that you will be killed right now. Like, right now. Just wait for it.." Aviva read. She looked horrified.
"Pfft! That is not true! Probably just some silly prank from your older brother." Skylar said.
"Y-yeah, I guess." Aviva said, worried.
"Oh, come on, are you actually scared about this stupid letter? Let me see it." Skylar demands. Aviva hands Skylar the letter, and Skylar throws it into the fire.
"There we go!" Skylar said.
A dark figure marched into the Ravenclaw common room.
"Who are you?!" Skylar asked, terrified. The dark figure pointed its wand at Aviva.
"S-Skylar!" Aviva said, her teeth chattering.
"AVADA KEDAVRA!" cried the figure.
"NO!" Aviva screamed in agony. She dropped to the floor, dead.
"A-Aviva!" cried Skylar quietly. The dark figure laughed. Skylar quickly pointed her wand at the dark figure. "Reveal yourself!"
The dark figure took of its mask, and it revealed no other than Lucius Malfoy.
"Y-you monster! Leave this school or die!" Skylar screamed, crying. The dark figure left, and Skylar brought Aviva's dead body to the headmaster's office, sobbing along the way. She thought why anyone would want to kill her, she was so innocent. And she knew, even if it was the last thing she did, she had to avenge Aviva.
