The Time Thief
"Doctor, where did you put my coat?" Said Rory, as the TARDIS rumbled and shook, as it flew through the time vortex. His footing was a little uneven, but nothing that'd make him fall at that moment. The Doctor wasn't there, well, his body was, but his mind was away, he was looking at the screen, reading the text that was written in gallifreyan. "Doctor!" Rory snapped, and The Doctor was back, and he smiled, and clapped his hands to together "Yes, Rory! Ah, your coat is over there, next to the door of the TARDIS"
Rory nodded, but before he could step forward, the TARDIS shook, and he felt forward, falling down and groaning in pain. This has happened a few times before to him, but he never enjoyed it once. He got up, ruffling his hair, and he walking to the door, grabbing his coat, and then looking at the Doctor, and the whining of the TARDIS stopped, so he assumed the TARDIS had stopped. Rory opened the door, but to his surprise, the TARDIS was still in the Time Vortex. He stared out into the cloudy and deadly Vortex, and soon the Doctor ran forward, slamming the door shut "RORY! We shouldn't go there, many many bad things, and why did you open the door?"
Rory was a bit shocked and he looked at the Doctor, his face looking stupid, but not idiotic "Well...the TARDIS stopped, and the whining was quiet, and...I...thought we landed"
The Doctor sighed and shook his head "No, I don't know what she is doing, but we shouldn't be stuck in the Vortex, it's, bad for all of us." He walked to the console, flipping a few switches and the TARDIS landed in London, 2012, and Rory and The Doctor stepped out. The air was blue and clean, the perfect colour, and the two just stared up at the sky "Bit lonely without Amy, isn't it?" Said Rory, awed by the sky.
"Yes, I do wish she were here" He said, grumbling, as he felt a bit angry. He looked around, seeing how empty the park was, and he was surprised, as the people would be busy and talking and doing people things. He wandered off, looking around and his eyes curious and suspicious. Rory jogged after him, and looked around, of course, seeing nothing wrong "Er, Doctor, whats wrong?"
The Doctor was back at his dormant mind, looking around and he mumbled "Just very suspicious, why would no one be at the park, on a Saturday?"
Rory shrugged and walked away from the Doctor before saying "Well, it's London, people here are gloomy, so, ya know." Rory stepped inside the TARDIS, and he sat down at the steps of the console, relaxing and waiting for the Doctor to return.
After a few minutes, the Doctor came back, a smile on his face and he jogged up the steps past Rory and started setting a course. Rory looked up at the Doctor and asked "Doctor, why are we leaving?"
The smile on his face showed he was excited and he turned to Rory, and said in a almost devious way "We have a mystery on our hands"
Rory jumped up as soon as the Doctor turned on the TARDIS, the noise coming, it's whining and grinding sound. Rory leaned on a rail, and stared at the console, seeing the odd text and his eyes a bit squinted, but before he could ask, the Doctor stepped in front of him and handed him a Centurion armor, a Roman one in fact, but this one wasn't like the costume party one he had, this one was black and epic looking. Rory without hesitation went to the dressroom, putting it on and realizing that there was a sword on the belt of the tunic, he pulled it out, and to his amazement, this was no normal sword, it glowed he swung it around, almost like a kid, he played with it. He made whooshing noises as he did, but soon that ended when he skimmed his leg with the sword, and the blade made a zapping noise, and he leg went numb. He fell down, but soon got up, as the numb feeling was temporary, but it still hurt.
Rory came out of the dress room, in his armor and asking the Doctor "Why do I need to wear this?" He said as he walked down the steps and back to the console of the TARDIS.
