"Um, should I be here Sollux?" Aradia speaks up from behind him, and I pull Aradia and Sollux inside, pushing my sister out of the way.

"Don't worry, you're fine. She isn't." I stare at me sister, trying to make her uncomfortable.

"Well then I'll be going for now. And Sollux? I'll be talking to you later." She says, walking out the door.

"Well, um, I'm Aradia. I'm sure you know that already. Sollux talks about you a lot, and I was curious about you!" She flashes a kind smile at me, giving her a warm, comfortable feel.

"Well, Sollux does seem to spend a lot of time with me, he shouldn't keep me a secret. But It's nice to meet you Aradia! And please ignore my sister, she won't be coming back." Sollux has a confused look on his face.

"So, I didn't know you had a sister. Why didn't you tell me?" I don't want to talk about it, but Sollux should know. He can join me and Nepeta in hating my family.

"Okay, well, she's four years older than me. When I was born, she hated that I got more attention than her. So she made it her life goal to be better than me at everything, and now she's rich, has a husband, lives in a giant house, always looks amazing, and constantly tries to destroy my life. Which is why I moved here, because my family didn't know where I lived. Everyone but my Dad hates that I'm not exactly like my sister. But now my sister knows where I am, meaning the rest of my family does, too." I explain it all, and Aradia's face gets filled with anger as I speak.

"So she's one of those people. Well, she's not getting Sollux." Her voice is much colder than before. Maybe she knows someone like this?

"Woah, calm down you two? I wasn't even planning on talking to her anyways, no need to make some kind of murder plan." Sollux stares at us, while we give each other an understanding look.

I think I'm going to be good friends with Aradia.

"Oh! Sollux, I have to go. I have important stuff soon. (Y/N), it was nice to meet you, I hope we can talk some more soon!" She gives a quick smile and then leaves.

"So, that's Aradia? I think we'll be good friends." I keep my expression unreadable.

"Okay but you two aren't going to kill your sister and hang her head on the wall or do something really creepy, are you?"

"Probably not. But we'll see." Now I'm just trying to see how creepy I can be, but Sollux just rolls his eyes and let's out a bored sigh.

"Hey, you know, it's almost Christmas! Christmas is in like, two weeks. What if your family ends up coming?" Sollux looks at me, waiting for my answer.

"You're right. Damn! I can't escape those money loving freaks. At least my dad won't pressure me into acting like my sister. And you'll get to see why I hate them."

"Don't worry, little bunny. It's going to be fine. Your family can't be that bad, I'm sure." I dont like him calling me a bunny, but I guess it's okay since I always annoy him by making buzzing noises in his ear and pretending to be a bee.

"Sollux! I have an idea. Its going to be uncomfortable and weird and we're going to hate it but it will stop my parents from sending random rich boys to my door for me to steal money from." I sit up straight, hoping my crazy idea will save me.

"And what is this uncomfortable and weird idea?" Sollux questions, raising an eyebrow.

"Okay. So what if on Christmas, if my family does come, which they will, we pretend to be a couple and act like you have lots of money and stuff. Then they'll think I'm not being a failure and they'll leave me alone!" I bounce on the couch, waiting for his reaction.

"Well," he says slowly, "It wouldn't be so uncomfortable. But I think it could work. Nepeta will have a lot of fun with it, too." He sounds calm, but a light pink is dusting his face, which makes his blue eye look especially bright.

"So you'll do it?" I ask, now excited. Even if it's not real, I get to pretend I'm with Sollux!

"Sure, why not?" He shrugs.

I hug him, which he apparently wasn't expecting. He tries to pull away, but I dont let him.

"Wow, okay, it's not like I just saved your life or something!" He says, his eyes wide with surprise.

"But you did! You definitely did!" I stuff my head into his shirt, and he reluctantly hugs me back.

"Okay, but I have to go now. Karkat said something about Nepeta needing to talk to me." He quickly walks out the door, seeming a bit embarrassed at this whole event.

I let out a happy sigh, while hugging a pillow from the couch.

"So," I hear a voice say, "You want Mommy and Daddy to think you're rich? Well you can't! I'm the better child! If you don't let me have Sollux, I will tell everyone about your stupid little plan!" Emily is standing in the doorway, her face red with rage.

"I think it's time for you to leave, sister." I spit the words out at her, pushing her out the door.

She stumbles backwards, but quickly regains her balance.

"I'm still the better child, and you can't stop that!" She smirks at me, knowing how upset I get about that.

"FUCK YOU!" I slam the door in her face, hoping it hit her in the nose.
