I know what it's like
To feel death and despair
Clawing at your back
Because life isn't fair
I've also fought battles
Wars waged in my head
Over whether life is worth living
Or if I'm better off dead
Sometimes I'm victorious,
But sometimes I'm not
When my wounds, self-inflicted,
Fill with tears, fresh and hot
I know what it's like
To be trapped in that hole
That we know as depression
As I'm sure you've been told
But I'm still here fighting
For both my life and yours
Because I'll always believe
That you're worth fighting for
I don't care that you're broken
'Cus I'm broken too
But if ever you stumble,
I'll still fight for you
I'll fight 'cus you're worth it
Whether you believe it or not
I'll fight cus I think
You deserve one more shot
At living a life
Where you're finally free
Of the voices that plague you
And won't let you be
But until then, I'll fight
Both for you and for me
Because you are worth it
This I truly believe
