There was a rush of panic as we all filed into our cars. After weeks of trying to figure out what we should do it had been decided. Gabe had spent the last few days packing. There was no telling how long this would take or honestly if we would want to come back. I couldn't believe this was happening. It had been nearly ten years since the last time we had seen her. Since she decided to walk out of our lives. Honestly, we couldn't blame her. What happened to her, what we did... Let's just say, her leaving was the only chance she had to save herself. To put herself back together. That was last time we were all truly happy. We had hurt her. Bad. When she left us she wasn't the same person and I wasn't sure if it would ever even be possible to get her back, but I had to try. She was it, for me at least. We all had been together for nearly 3 years and I would have done anything for her. We all would have. She was my epic love and he had ruined it. For all of us. It wasn't just him. We all screwed up; big time, but he was definitely her last straw. She left the day she found out. I had never seen my brothers so miserable. Well, except for him. I hadn't seen him in nearly as long as I had seen her. When we found out he was the cause of her leaving that was it. He lost all rights to be called family. He caused her pain. Broke her heart and caused her to leave us all. And now, as we rushed out of our house, we would finally be able to see her again. To hold her. To apologize and beg for forgiveness. It was our chance to be happy again. To bad we had to crash her wedding to do it.
Don't ask me how we found out. It was luck I guess. I had been looking in on her since she left, just to make sure she was ok. She made it very clear before leaving that she wanted no contact. I saw an article appear below my search engine. I clicked it out of curiosity and saw something that would haunt me forever. At the top in large bold letters it said Congratulations! Below it was a picture of a man and a women kissing. Not only where they kissing but the women held up her left hand, flashing a beautiful diamond ring. There was no doubting who it was, with her beautiful blond hair. Those hands. I had kissed those hand; loved those hand. If I closed my eyes long enough I could still feel them. It was her. She looked enchantingly happy. But that wasn't what hurt. What hurt was the way they looked at each other. She used to tell me I had fire eyes. I never understood until now. The way she was looking at him caused her eyes to ignite into a daunting flame. Had she looked at us like that? Did we really ruin the best thing that had ever been a part of our lives?Who was this man and why was she so captivate? And lastly, if only I could see his face.
