"Who are you?" She asked
My world stopped for a second
"L-Lexi-"
"Mr. mccann we are asking you to leave the room please?" The doctor said
I looked at her completely shocked
"You remember me right? You remember me!" I said as i got pushed out of the door
Her expression was confused
Did she lose her memory?
I sat on the cold hospital cheers and closed my eyes, this wasn't me, i wasn't like this
I was never like this

The doctors told me I could come into the room after two hours.
I saw her face, she looked at the ground
My body walked in but my mind was somewhere else
"Lexi" I whispered looking at her standing still
She looked at me
"You remember me right?" I asked
She moved her hand and looked at me
"I-I'm sorry" she whispered I knitted my eyebrows together "but you know me lexi! Goddammi-" I started but closed my eyes
"We shared so many memories, I was yours and you were mine and we were in love i still am" I said looking at her
She didn't talk, she said nothing
- Lexi's pov
"I can't remember him" I whispered looking at the women in front of me
"I mean i can remember his face because of my flashbacks and what we had and everything...but i can't remember him." I whispered looking at my hands
"And lexi-"
"I know- I know I loved him" I swallowed
"His laugh and his voice, but i can't remember what they sounded like" I whispered shaking my head slowly closing my eyes
I knitted my eyebrows together
"I wish i remembered" I whispered feeling tears in my eyes
"So, lexi- what hurts you the most? What do you see when i ask you; what is the memory that burns in you're mind?" She asked softly
I opened my eyes to look at her
"Our last phone call."
She grabbed her small pink notebook again and started writing down something
She looked at me right after
I suddenly felt dizzy "you should get some rest, Lexi" she sighed standing up
She grabbed her brown bag and grabbed her notebook and pen.
"I'll be here tomorrow, around the afternoon."
I nodded shaking her hand
She walked out of the door
I closed my eyes
After an hour i heard a knock on the door
"Come in." I said seeing the door open
"Lexi oh my god" a lass around my age whispered I knitted my eyebrows together suddenly feeling weird
- flashback
"I'll always be there you know?"
I nodded with a small smile on my face
"I'll miss you"
I opened my eyes again feeling the lass hugging me "doctor said you couldn't remember." She whispered breaking away
I looked at her again seeing her eyebrows knitted together
"I just don't understand"
I did remember her face and her but her voice and everything else...I didn't remember that
A tear fell down her cheek
"So you just can't remember me?" She whispered
I shook my head, she nodded looking at the ground "well, if I'll speak my mind and let myself go, I will scream and go mad but there is nothing i can do" she whispered
- Becky's pov
I took a deep breath
"So here i go" I whispered
I felt like i was gonna throw up
"I'm Becky" I started swallowing
"I am you're best mate since we were twelve"
I felt tear rolling down my cheek in silence
"We've been through a lot of shit" I chuckled lightly shaking my head
"We've been to high school together and carried on like that, had the same jobs and that, but we moved to another city, Leeds." I whispered looking at her
"We started a new life, you because you wanted to go away from you're family and that- and me mum and dad wanted to move here" I sighed picking at my nails
"We got jobs here and you got yourself an apartment where we got smashed every weekend and hooked up" I whispered
She looked at me, a single tear rolled down her cheek.
"When I fought with my parents you were there and i stayed at yours, we argued lots about stupid stuff but-" I started but sighed
"You started to try drugs and what not, I was worried but got involved too and- we made it eventually, we used it now and then and smoked a spliff now and then but we knew what we did, we weren't hopeless addicts" I whispered
"I loved you and and you loved" I said
"I started to listen to this band and the drummer was pretty fit" I whispered smiling
"You liked the guitarist, you didn't want to admit it at first, but christ, you fell for him"
I shook my head slowly seeing memories in my mind "for fuck sake Lexi i want!-" I started but sighed I started crying "I want you back, I miss you so so much Lexi" I sobbed standing up
Tears fell down her cheek
I walked towards the door
But something stopped me
"I remember"
I turned around and swallowed
"You do?" I whispered
She nodded slowly "some bits, not everything, but I don't-" she started but stopped herself
"Becky?" She asked "yes, love?"
"T-that guy" she whispered
Van.
"Yes?"
"I remember I loved him" she whispered with tears in her eyes
"I remember that-" she started but sighed
She closed her eyes
"I'm sorry but I need you to leave" a nurse said
I looked at her with knitted eyebrows
"I'm not leaving-" I started
"Sorry"
- Lexi's pov
My body started shaking
"I'm not leaving!" I yelled in my sleep
"I love you" I whispered
I suddenly opened my eyes
I felt lonely
I kept dreaming and thinking about that guy who I fell in love with..
I looked at the clock, 2am
I stood up and walked out of my room
I looked at the phone "Lexi" a voice behind me said I turned around and saw a nurse
"I can't sleep" I whispered
- van's pov
I finished my fag and walked back inside
I finished the song i was writing and heard my phone going off
"Hello?"
There was a short silence
"I-I it's Lexi"
My heart started beating faster
"Lexi- what-"
"Can you come here?"
I looked at the clock "yeah, yeah of course, love" I said
"Thank you." Was all she said before ending the phone call
I walked out of the hotel I was staying in and jumped into a taxi
I arrived at her room twenty minutes later
I knocked on her door she opened it seconds after, her face was pale, she didn't say a word
Instead, she walked to her bed and sat down on it staring at the wall
I closed the door and sat next to her
We sat in silence for a minute until she started crying softly closing her eyes
"I'm so sorry" she whispered
I pulled her closer to me and shook my head
After that,
Lexi told me she started remembering things of the past and we lay there in the hospital bed looking at each other, and i smiled because, i know that in this lifetime I had the sheer pleasure of meeting her...
I knew everything was going to be okay soon
I love you, forever
