Changing Hogwarts: First Year

As Hermione boarded the train she felt her anxiety spike. She was in a very tight space with other people. This was one of her biggest fears. She went to the first compartment that looked empty and sat down, breathless. Just as she was calming down she felt eyes on her. Looking up, she saw said eyes were a beautiful green. Looking at the owner of the beautiful green eyes, she saw a very attractive boy. He was unhealthy kind of skinny, pale, and had pitch black hair. Around his shoulders she could see what looked like a female black mamba. They were her favorite animal. She laughed slightly at noticing her as she herself had a curious snake. In fact, she was peaking out of her box at the moment. The boy narrowed his eyes slightly, thinking she was laughing at him.

"H-hi. I'm H-h-hermione. I-I like y-your snake." Hermione stuttered. Sensing that her master was in distress, Adara slid out of the small hole in her box and slid up Hermione's hand. When she got to her wrist she curled around it like a bracelet. Hermione instantly felt safer.

The boy's expression lightened. "Hello. I'm Harry Potter. It's nice to meet you."

"W-what's her n-ame?"Hermione respoded.

"Bridget. What about yours?"

"Adara." Hermione managed to say without stuttering.

"That means fire."

"Bridget means strong." Hermione was able to hold back her nerves when stating facts.

"I can see that you're nervous. You don't have to be. I find you beautiful and interesting. Also I really like your snake."

For the rest of the train ride to Hogwarts Harry and Hermione got to know each other. By the time they got there Hermione was laying in Harry's lap. Just as they got out of the train Hermione felt panic rise. She squeezed Harry's hand.
