Nostalgic

I knew you were trouble when you walked in, so shame on me now! flew me to places I’d never been, til you.....

“Hey! Bakit nagstop?!” reklamo ko kay Iya.

“Oops. Sorry girl, may nagtext!” sagot niya with an apologetic smile.

Tss. Sorry naantala ang concert namin. Ganito talaga kasi kami ng best friend ko. We’re totally inclined to music kaya lagi kaming may concert. Free pa yan and no registration! Problema mo na nga lang if matutuwa ka o maiirita sa boses namin.

Oh, by the way, my name is Hazel Grace Vargas. 18 years of age. Lol! Parang sa pageant lang. I’m a 3rd year college student and I’m taking up BS in Nursing. Kami ng best friend kong si Iya yung ilan sa mga matitigas ang ulo na kumukuha pa rin ng course kahit maraming nagdidiscourage dahil marami na daw tambay na nurses. Oh well, anong magawa namin, it’s our calling. Char!

“Hey? Matagal pa ba yan? Tutubuan na ko ng ugat dito.” pabiro kong tanong sa kanya.

“hay! Masyadong apurido! Sandali lang po, naclose po kasi yung music player ko!” she said with obvious sarcasm.

Then nagstart na ulit yung music. The song sounds familiar. Until I started to hear the lyrics.

Napatigil ako. “I can’t believe you still have this kind of song.”

She gave me that quizzical look.“Synesthesia ba? Oo naman. Maganda eh. bakit? May problema ba?” I guessed she noticed the disappointment in my voice.

Umiling na lang ako. “Wala. Stop mo na. Alis na rin tayo. Malapit na magstart yung next class.” Sabay kuha sa headphones.

“What? 15 minutes pa kaya. Excited much?”

“Basta! May ibabalik pa kong book sa lib. Tayo ka na dyan.”

She just rolled her eyes. “Oo na ma’am. Tatayo na po! Ang Bipolar nito oh!”

Hindi naman talaga ako bipolar. OA naman nun. Wala rin akong mood swings. May naalala lang talaga ako sa song. Some pieces of memories that I wanted to burry in the deepest part of my mind. Yung tipong di ko na ulit maaalala pa.
