Maia assumed her eyes were as wide as those of a deer caught in headlights. Her head twisted, as she walked faster than she was before, checking behind her continuously. Her heart beat rapidly against her chest, as she tried to outrun whoever was following her. She turned onto the corner of her street, when a hand clamped over her mouth, muffling the following screams for help. She thrashed around in the attackers grip, but whoever held her was too strong.
She felt a sharp sensation in her neck, and as the needle plunged into her system, she immediately felt her body shut down. 'Blink, just keep blinking.' She thought to herself, but with every bat of the eye, the world began to change into shapes, then colors and finally darkness.
She awoke with a sudden alertness. Her body was wet due to her excessive sweating. She looked around and saw a man sitting opposite of her, underneath a window. Realizing that there wasn't a way out, at the moment, she gulped.
The man casually tapped his fingers against his knee, watching her. He never blinked or looked away. She began to feel self-conscious and nervously looked around. She was stuck in a tiny room - only about 5x5 feet. The walls, as far as she knew, were black and without any light other than that from the window in front of her. She shivered, as fear  swept though her like a current of electricity.
She watched, more nervous now than ever before. He just sat there, so still he could be mistaken as a statue. In a shaky voice, she called out to him. "S-Sir?" She stuttered. "Where am I?" He sat there, and by the way he reacted, or the lack of reaction, she wondered if he had heard her. After what seemed like hours, he got up, and walked out of the room, with a slam of the door. Now, she was truly alone.
Maia strained her eyes as much as she could to scan the room. But as far as she could tell, the room was empty. She noticed movement in the window, and recognized the figure as the man who had just left. She watched, as he walked back and forth. Each time he walked into her sight, he had a different tool of some sort in his hands.
She shivered again, fear once again rushing through her body. She couldn't tear her eyes away from the window, but soon the man stopped coming into sight, and she sighed nervously. The sound of the door alerted her to his presence in the room. "Welcome," a deep voice echoed through the room, and she felt her eyes widen even more. She scooted further back against the wall, as close as she possible could. 'Welcome? Welcome to what? What am I doing here?' She thought, but his voice interrupted her.
"Welcome to my playroom. You see my dear, I saw you and I knew I just had to have you. You're too perfect to belong to anyone else. I just needed to get a new toy cause all of my other toys are broken," He then pouted down at her, and she flinched slightly. "And everyone needs to play. I deserve some playtime too, don't you think?" He chuckled, and she couldn't help but gasp.
He opened a door she hadn't seen before, and suddenly light flooded into the tiny room. She pressed her body even more so into the wall, wanting desperately to get away from this man. "Well, what should we try first?" He said, while grinning over at her.
He grabbed her waist suddenly, causing her to gasp as he pulled her out of the room and into the other one. He thrust her down on a table, and pinned her hands above her head with one of his own. She struggled against him, but it was no use. He grabbed a scalpel from the tray besides her, and without any warning, he roughly pushed the tip into her stomach. As she let out a scream, he twisted the medal object around and she closed her eyes tightly.
"I think a heart would look nice on a pretty girl." He whispered in her ear, and she whimpered. "What's wrong? Don't you like it? The world needs to know that you belong to me. All my toys must be marked." He said, slowly, smirking down at her shaking form. She flinched again, as the room started to go out of focus, and the last thing she saw before passing out was the man's face twisting with glee.
She woke up, and groaned in agony. She realized that she was back in the playroom, and she went to sit up. As she did so, pain erupted in her stomach, and she bit back a scream. She gasped as she looked down, and saw the rugged heart that had been carved into her stomach. She felt sick as she noticed the blood that had dried around it, as tears slipped down her cheeks and bit her lip to contain her sobs.
Then, the door opened again, and the man stepped into the room. "You're awake, I see. Well, what do you think? Do you want to play some more?"
