so I was reading this blog that my youth leader wrote and I was fascinated by it, she was talking about how one of her kids had a butterfly in a box and she told her that the butterfly wont be able to fly if you touch the wings and her daughter turned around and said it wont die it just wont be able to fly so it kinda turned in to an argument, after a while she did some research and found out that butterflies can still fly after their wing are touched but she goes into how we are like butterflies, when someone brings us down we feel like we are unable to fly (not legit) and she goes on to say how often she thinks of a hundred reasons of how she shouldn't or cant fly, and by grounding she is grounding others and its so true if we feel like giving up and feel bad about ourselves we are also making other people around us unhappy and then she goes on to say that when we are free to be ourselves and not what others want us to be its easy to let others around you be free to be themselves she tells people how she lost a couple of scales from her "wings" so she grounded herself in a 'box' and decided never to fly again, I was like her I lost a few of my scales (not that butterflies have scales) and decided to never fly. she goes and talks about how if she were a real butterfly and decided never to fly she would be the opposite to what its name means instead she would be butter which no one wants to be called especially me because I hate butter, and she tries to encourage us by saying its ok to fly and don't let anyone bring you down and don't worry about someone taking your wings from you because you are capable to get back up and fly and don't be around those people be around the ones who will fly with you, what I think of this is that we will all have our hits and bumps but that doesn't mean we give up even if its an easy choice it means we get up and try try again even when people are really mean because we are all strong in our own way so don't be the butterfly trapped in the box be the butterfly that will get up and fly and never give up. there's a quote I was reading it said something like if plain A doesn't work there is the whole alphabet.
