Levi held Daisy's hand as they walked across the street. Her head ached with every step they took. She grasps Levi's arm more firmly. "It's alright Dais." he whispers.
She feels a burning sensation in her stomach as he kisses her hand. "I love you, ok." he says against it. She holds the bouquet of flowers tightly.
They enter the yard. Dirty leaves and snow cover the ground they walk on. The big church in the midst of it all gives off an eery feeling.
All the way in the back, was where they were supposed to be. Daisy holds her breath for the last few steps.
Levi lets go of her hand and stands still. Daisy walks closer and kneels down. She touches the dried out roses carefully. They crumble under her finger tips. She replaces the old flowers with the ones she brought and swiftly turns around. She grabs Levi and wants to walk away but he stays put, and lays his hand on her stomach to stop her.
Slowly she turns back around and faces the stone.
