Everyone has their own story in life. Everyone has their own demons and problems. No two people are exactly the same. But for some people they can't grasp that concept, that not everyone is the same. Because of this other are discriminated. Because they're simply different. This has been going on for years yet people can't grasp their tiny minds around it. So what do they do because they don't agree with the different ones? They abuse them, try to make them "normal" or like them. And they never stop.

For Emily, this is what happened to her. She was abused and tortured because she wasn't like the other boys and girls. Instead of playing with blocks when she was 3 she read Shakespeare. Instead of playing with dolls when she was nine she played with numbers and the human anatomy. Instead of playing with makeup when she was 13 she played with the laws of physics. At the age of 14 she was a senior in high school. Her intelligence had no boundaries and she soaked up information like a sponge. She studied pieces of art work, and knew every major language in the world. She was a phenomenon to the human society. But as extraordinary as she was, she only had one person to confide to, she was a freak to the other kids, and to her family. Her mother died while she was giving birth to Emily, which left her with her father, who could care less about the well being of his daughter. He would give her money and tell her to pick and buy her own clothes and meet him by the register, he would make her grilled cheese every night for dinner. He didn't know how to raise a daughter, and in a way forced her to be more mature. She never cried and never talked back, all her teachers we astounded at her age and her grades. She never failed a test. Her best friend and only friend was 17 and she was 14. He was the only person she talked to, he was the only person she trusted. She was his only friend too, and they cherished each other and would do anything to protect one another.

It's funny though, that in a year everything can change. One day being a dream in suburbia to total destruction. Emily always got bullied, but she was in a way used to the treatment, it wasn't ever too bad to wear she couldn't handle it. Until they started to up their game that is. Their insults got worse, they started getting more physical each week. First it was slight pushing and mean comments, second to pushing to the floor and smacking her book out of her hand, Third to throwing things to her as she walked by or jumping her after class, making sure she couldn't get up for a few minutes to make their escape.

Jackson always found her after, he was never in time. He helped her up and helped her home, cleaned and fixed her wounds. They were relentless, and nothing not even suspension would stop them. 5 months after the extreme bullying, she had enough. She started making her plan to leave. She would spend her last summer with Jackson and 3 days before school she will leave. She can apply for college and some jobs if she so chooses just because of her intellect and smarts. She was tired of living this stupid life, a life of beatings and mistreatment. And she was finally gonna put an end to it.
