Chapter 1
The Goodbye
"Bye" said Sarah to her husband John, little did she know those where the last words to him.
....10 minutes later....The door flew open." Sara!" Cassie squealed "Look at the newscast!"
"Hey Cassie, what channel is it on?!"
" Ugh I...Hmmm" She said thinking. " Channel....5 or is it 4? 5....i'm pretty sure".
"Um ok?"
Then as Sarah turned on the T.V. she saw a picture of John.
"Why is he on the news, he just left like 15 minutes ago?!"
" Don't freak out silly, they're just showing the Vietnam soldiers." She giggled "There's James." She blushed..
"O-MY-GOSH Cassie, you're still obsessing over that guy who you met at the cafe."
" I know but he's just so nice and cute and....." Cassie started to cry because she thought that she would never see him again.
" What...What.... What .If he dies? I'll never be able to...to talk to him...to tell him.....I like him....To....to see his beautiful smile......his...his......Chocolate brown eyes.........His.......Russet brown hair..... His...." She said between tears
"Cassie it's ok....." Sarah gasped "John" said Sara breaking into tears.
Chapter 2
The Bombing
It was 11:00p.m. and the two friends were talking as they heard a knock at door.
" Who would be knocking at this hour?' Cassie asked.
Sarah shrugged as she walked towards to the door. Slowly they opened the door. There stood two police officers.
" Hello ladies. We're here looking for.....Hmm let's see." The officer on the left said looking at the files. " A HA! " He exclaimed. "Cassandra Violet Amelia Wilson?"
" That's me.....But I have to ask sir." Cassie said fiddling with her fingers " Not to be rude but why are you here?"
The officer on the right answered this time.
"Well," He said playing with his fingers now, " Cassandra-"
"She prefers to go by Cassie sir, now get to the point." Sarah snapped getting impatient.
"Well then Cassie" he exaggerated, "I'm sorry to say....there was something that happened to your parents around 1:00pm earlier..." He stuttered for a second then hesitated as he said "Cassie l am sorry to say but your parents were in a horrible attack by the Vietnam and they won't be coming home."
" Wait.......What are you saying?"
"Cassie...You're..parents are dead."
Cassie fell to her knees and started sobbing uncontrollably.
" Cassie, Cassie It's going to be alright." Her head snapped up " I think it's time for you two gentlemen to leave, you've done quite enough," said Sarah slamming the door in their faces.
Chapter 3
James and John
This chapter is about a man named James Smith. He is 23 years old. He has russet-brown hair. He is a Air Force Pilot who is now in war, The Vietnam War. Also a man named John who was also 23 years old also in war.
Boom, boom! John scattering for cover. "General over here" John yelled. Fffwop. Boom. Everybody stared there with no exact expression, looking down at there cold, blue lips, no heartbeat General. A man with brown hair in the back said we have to leave him men, we must keep moving and his name was James Smith.
Chapter 4
The Cry for Help
John sat there laid back against the sandbags facing opposite of the Communist War. Startled in such a way he couldn't move, he sat there staring off only hearing yelling and one voice coming closer and closer. He kept hearing the voice saying "get up man, get up..." Then boom John flew almost out in the open when James barreled right into him. John immediately said "It's 1972 becareful who you decide to dive into." " Your all right, aren't you?" "Somehow I am from your surprising and uprising dive you did into me." "Well maybe you could be like the other men and keep fight so you're not caught in death's cold hands. You have to keep going on he's already gone. I think I actually am your hero if I hadn't jumped into action you might have stayed there and died like our General and other men." "Well thanks i guess."
