"Baby wake up." I kiss Royalty's forehead. She opens her eyes a little and raises her hand to push my face away gently. "You have to get up, honey." I laugh shaking my head as I kiss her cheek.
"Come on stinky butt. Today's gonna be a long, fun, fun day." I encourage. She rubs her eyes tiredly and I pick her up. She rests her head on my shoulder hugging me.
Carrying her to the bathroom, "who's that?" I point to her reflection in the room's mirror. She brings her head up and giggles uncontrollably as she sees herself. "That's you?" I ask excitedly. She lets out loud laughs continuously warming my heart.
"The cutest princess." I tell her a tickle her stomach with my finger. She holds onto my finger and lays her head back down on my shoulder.
"We're going to see all the fishes, who are we going to see? Nemo...Dory..." I begin to count on my fingers as she gets excited very quickly. Between Finding Nemo/ and Dory, it's hard to tell which she loves more. And just to see that special smile on her face all day, we're going to the aquarium.
"Marlin..." I continue and she gives me a small confused face. "What? You don't know Marlin?" I gasp dramatically and her expression doesn't change. "Nemo's daddy! Nemo! Nemo! I'm looking for my son!" I yell trying to mimic his voice.
She laughs at me as if I were in the circus and I run my fingers over her face gently laughing as well. She's truly the love of my life.
Her first birthday, two weeks ago rolled around and I can't even hide the fact that I want and will give her the absolute world.
That's why I brought her out for the weekend in Puerto Rico for a little adventure even though it doesn't mean much to her now but this is better than a party.
Even though she can't talk just yet, I know she understands everything I'm saying. Either that or she's laughing at how ugly her damn daddy is.
