Alright, I've got this. Just one more year, I can do it.

Dean thought to himself as he looked in the mirror, putting product in his light brown hair. This was going to be the year that he turned himself around. In the past he wasn't the most motivated person. He was more worried about his reputation as a ladies man. It didn't matter what his grades were, or whether he was going to get into college: He just had to have girls falling for him left and right.

Dean was also worried about his sport. Dean was the quarterback of his high school's football team. He liked the game, but not as much as his dad, John Winchester. John had almost beat the sport into him ever since Dean's mother died. John was quarterback in high school as well. Mary, being the captain of the cheerleading team, made for a great cliché high school love story. John sometimes got over dramatic when it came to the game. He wanted to make sure that Dean lived out the same life that him and Mary had before her accident. Even if Dean didn't want that life, he would play hard to make his dad proud.

He walked away from the bathroom counter and toward his bed. He sat down and began putting his boots on. His face reflected how he was lost in thought about the conversation he had with father last night.

John talked, more like yelled, at Dean about how things were definitely going to change this year. He told him that he was to be on the top of his game, no more fooling around. He was told to better his grades, or John would do something about it. His boy was going to study and practice hard to go on to college and play football.

Dean would never disobey his father. No matter how hard he was on him and his brother Sammy, Dean would always have the out most respect for his old man. So no matter how distracted he got, he was going to treat school like his baby and put forth all his effort into it.

He got up and walked down stairs to make Sam some breakfast. Dean himself didn't have much of an appetite this morning. So he would wait until lunch to eat, maybe.

"Come on Sammy, let's go! You don't want to be late on your first day of high school!" Dean called upstairs, then looked down proudly at the food he had prepared.
