Lucinda was trying to avoid Kai at all costs. She was scared of what he could do. She walked into a room that had piano in it.
She sat and started playing song.

I know I can't take one more step towards you
'Cause all that's waiting is regret
Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore
You lost the love I loved the most

I learned to live half alive
And now you want me one more time

And who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Who do you think you are?

Lucinda's eyes filled with tears. She missed Stefan and Damon. Stefan loved to listen to her sing.
Lucinda turned around when she heard clapping.
Kai stood there. He was impressed. She sang beautifully.
"You have a beautiful voice. Wait, have you been crying?"
Lucinda stood up and brushed her tears.
"Why do you care, Kai?"
Kai blinked. Why did he care so much about her? She was just a girl. Maybe he liked her. No, of course not. He is a sociopath, he doesn't have feelings. Or does he?
"I don't. I am just curious."
Lucinda snorted.
"Yes. I cried."
Kai titled his head to the side.
"Why?"
Lucinda looked down sadly.
"I miss my brothers. I miss moments like this. I would sing for them. Stefan would listen to me and Damon would complain how he doesn't like this song. When in reality it's his favorite."
Kai smiled sadly. He felt guilt again. He shook his head.
"Well, they are not here."
Lucinda looked at him.
"And whose fault is that?"
Kai turned around to walk out of room but stopped.
"I'll find a way for us to get out. I promise you will see your brothers."
Lucinda smiled. Kai started walking out but stopped when he heard her next words.
"Thank you, Kai."
Kai smiled and walked out.
Lucinda made a twirl and sat on piano chair. She was happy.
