Crack

29 7 1

The red ribbons she wore around her neck were chains

Dragging her down 'till she couldn't bear the pain

And he forced her to assimilate

To the sadistic society that he called great

She toiled and toiled but she called herself pampered

And with her exquisite innocence he tampered

'Till all she could see were stars of grey

Made of sharp sneers, reflecting his face

The sky was black, her heart was white

She was given two choices: fight or flight

But alas, her fists only gave grace

And her legs wore out in the shortest race

The whip came towards her, startlingly clear

Her heart clenched with inexplainable fear

And the whip went crack

Her world went black
