Candy yawned, getting up and smacking her lips as she looked outside her skyscraper apartment down upon the city's bulletin board. It was there that most would find notes on job listings or wanted services. Mentally, she counted the daycare's 'Sign-Up' listings, seeing if any had been pulled off. Her head would nod with each number rising, and as she stretched, she reached for her toothbrush on a counter next to her. Without looking away from the window, she flapped her hand until her fingers gripped the edge of the cup it was in. Tilting it in a rotation, she was able to grab her toothbrush and with her foot, lift it up to the counter to snag her toothpaste.

With her nimble toes, she pulled it over to her and used her other hand to start spreading it over as she scrubbed her teeth, continuing her count unperturbed.

The Daycare was all ready to support children now that they had at least one—basically test-running the pokemon daycare's capacity. With his rambunctious nature, it was clear that the daycare could accommodate more children easily.

Miss—or should it be Mrs.? Was she married before..?—Well, Pearl had also mentioned she felt it best for the pokemon and Jake to meet other human children to play and get along with. "Learning about many personalities," she had stated, "Would greatly enhance how they learn befriend and adapt to various others. In preparation for learning to form proper bonds with not only pokemon, but us too. It would enrich their development towards pokemon trainers and their strong pokemon companions."

It... was a lot for Candy to think about, but it was also exciting nonetheless.

Her schooling had often talked about pokemon bonds with their trainers, but she never thought other pokemon to pokemon friendships and—consequently—human to human relationships. Is that so vitally crucial in being a pokemon trainer as well? Or even more so, a possible champion?!

It seemed that pokemon really did unite humans together... or so, Pearl may have suggested. However, Candy had always found it easier to bond with pokemon than be accepted by other trainers...

Then again, even Zippity had a weird biased against—and for—her. It was like, on one hand, Zippity would take care to keep her safe, but on the other, she hated how Candy was and acted towards things.

Maybe she was too childish for Zippity's gung-ho attitude about getting stronger, and maybe she was the reason Zippity felt she couldn't get stronger anymore...

So... maybe that's just another step in relationships with pokemon and humans?

It occurred to Candy that maybe she should learn a thing or two from the daycare, instead of just babysitting and taking care of cleaning up each day.

More kids could mean more revenue too, and that wouldn't hurt much.

In that moment, having hopped out of bed, brushed her teeth, and starting to change to get ready for the day, she really felt a spark of hope. Maybe... she could learn what Miss Pearl meant... about pokemon, human, and the mixture of them all forming unique but wonderful friendships that could make someone an excellent trainer!
