I think everyone is a bully in their own way, everyone says something bad about someone else or they talk about them behind their back. But is only human nature to make fun of someone every now and then, you only become a true bully when you do it consistently. Whether it’s verbally harassing them at school or spending rumours about them, either way you are a bully. even if its calling them names or making fun of them, you're a bully for doing it, but that is only the verbal stuff once people get online bulling goes to a whole new level, there is photo shopped photo's, name calling, rumours, just plan harassment and people encourage it because they like what they say or just ignore it.
The thing about bullies is that they do it because they crave attention, they have issues at home that they can’t deal with, and so they take it out on other people. A girl from my school, who is a bully once, said “I only bully the people who need to be taught a lesson". In actual fact, people who are bullied are always the nice people and in a few years people wonder why they became a 'Bitch'. The answer is simple; they got tired of fighting the bullies and instead just gave in and became mean because they figure that’s how they can get what they want, by becoming what they hate.
You have also got to question the school system, they let the bullying slid but if a parent complains they pretend to do something and after a few weeks its back to letting it slid. I thought students were meant to feel safe at school, but harassment and bullying does not sound safe to me.
Also where are these kids’ parents? For god’s sake. Children learn from their parents and parents are encouraging their children to be mean and intimidating throughout their lives. Well the bullies are going to be in for a shock when they get fired from jobs for work place harassment, it’s unacceptable and there is no excuse for such behaviour.
Its about time people realized that bullying should be illegal, people need to feel safe walking into schools or work places, something has to be done.
