I stand across from my boyfriend, known as my best friend to most. He reaches out for my hand which I gently push away. "Not here," I say, trying not to hurt his feelings. "Then where?" He asks, sounding angered by my actions. I nervously laugh, saying that we can do even more at home. He looks hurt, which I was trying to prevent. "Why can't you except that you have a boyfriend?" He starts, "Why can't we do anything in public? Are you ashamed of me?" I'm surprised by what he thinks. "It's not you..." I say as sincerely as I could sound. He speaks again, "How do you love someone if you don't love yourself? I don't see why you should have to hide the fact that we're dating. If you really loved me, you wouldn't care what others think! I love you, but I can't hide for you any longer. Goodbye." He runs off with tears in his eyes. I watch his figure getting smaller, until I gasp. The reality had hit me; I may never see him again. I push away the thought as I start running full speed through the glaring bystanders around me. I kiss him hard when I finally reach him. "I don't care what other people think anymore." I think to myself.
