Kendall Jenner. That's her name, everyone would recognize her anywhere she went, it was kind of annoying to her, she remembers how she used to struggle with it awhile ago when her career was starting, but now she is used to it she knows how to handle it, she still remembers who taught her to stop worrying about the paps and the fans following her everywhere, her family always used to tell her that she should just get over it and suck it up however she knew that it wasn't that easy, her family's words didn't help much. Actually her family isn't much of a help, she knows that they love her but they aren't good at showing her how much they care, her mother is the only one that shows her how much she loves her but sometimes it suffocates her.
She isn't the diva and crazy model everyone thinks she is, there was a time back in 2014 when she actually started to believe all of that crap, she started to act like her little sister, and the same person who taught her how to deal with the paps and fans came back into her life to remind her who she really is.
This morning she woke up scared and anxious. Her close friend, Glenne Christiaansen had told her that he will be in London to attend to the party of the Another Man Magazine, they invited her, of course they would invite her but she was having a battle with herself, did she really want to go or she wants to stay in the huge hotel room watching tv?
She remembers opening the Instagram app and seeing his beautiful face on the screen of her phone, she liked one of the three pictures that he uploaded, it was her favorite because he was imitating one of their favorite musician. She sighed when she saw his short hair, she had talked to him a few days after he cut his hair at a party in her aunt's house and she remembers how awkward and uncomfortable it was, she wanted to touch his hair and tease him about it but she couldn't, not anymore.
She can't joke about it without feeling empty, she still remembers how they would lay in the sofa that was in her first and own apartment in California and how she would tease him about his hair being longer than hers, and she still remembers how the skin of his face felt against her index finger as she traced every detail on it.
She chuckled as she realized what she was thinking, he was hers and now she is like any other fan of his, day dreaming about touching his hair and tracing every detail on his face.
Kendall sat up and looked for her phone, she fell asleep in the middle of the night when she was texting Glenne, she looked for it under the sheets and under the pillows. It wasn't there.
She got up and then down on her knees to look for it under the bed, there it was.
"Fuck" she cursed at herself when she saw the small crack on the screen of her phone, this is the third time in a month that she breaks the screen of her phone.
She unlocked it and as she expected, he texted her.
Are you coming to the party?
She read the small question over and over again as she made up an excuse in her mind, was she making an excuse for him to believe or for her to believe it? She started to type down the answer, she also read the answer a lot of times before pressing send, she closed her eyes at the same time she sent the message.
I'm not feeling well, but I will try.
After what felt like hours she finally decided to get her self ready for the long day she was going to have, she has an important photo shoot and can't have any kind of mark on her face, —bags under her eyes— she knows how annoyed the make up artists get, plus she isn't really into wearing much make up, that's one of the things that he always used to tell her, Kendall liked it and always used to blush every time he reminded her how beautiful she is.
