If I shared something with you,
Would you keep it in your own head?
Or would you share it with the world,
Rat me out instead?
If I told you something secret,
Would you keep your lips firmly closed?
Or would you tell your friends and enemies,
To ensure that everyone knows?
If I let you in on my deepest thoughts,
Would you lock them all up tight?
Or would you swing the door wide open,
And leave the key in plain sight?
I don’t trust you, and I’m sorry for that,
Yes, everyone knows it is indeed true.
But to share all my all with you,
Is simply something I can’t do.
I know it hurts you that we’re not the best of friends,
That, to find out why, you would resort to any ends.
But what you fail to understand is how I feel inside,
For I am lost inside my very own mind,
Drowning in an azure sea,
And trust is but a memory.

Trust You? Please.
PoetryYou want me to trust you? Not in a million years. You want me to let you in on my secrets? Not over my cold, dead body.
