"Stop it, you're really scaring me now!"

Marlon could feel his veins electrify with anger like wires. James, his boyfriend, knew all too damn well how much it annoyed Marlon when he did stupid things like this. It certainly didn't help that they were in his garden in the dead of night. Hiding his keys on their dates, tripping him up onto the bed (playfully), and today James' new antic was ruining what was almost the perfect date.

If only James would listen to Marlon ONCE and just: "Take that dumb mask off!"

Marlon was now barking at the top of his voice. It was with the blinking of a thousand lights on the faces of bland houses that Marlon realised, pulling his hood over his head with embarassment, that he had woken the neighbours up.

"Better be quiet," hushed a grinning James as he dropped his plastic, novelty knife from his hand and into the inky black shadows of night. "Can't have my murder victims making so much noise." Marlon, his jogging bottoms a little muddy from falling, jumped to his feet, storming over to James' clown masked face. He was just about to snatch it from James' face when he suddenly managed to tackle Marlon onto the grass, pouncing ontop of him. "Any last wor--" James still hadn't quite got out of playful evil-clown character, but Marlon, briskly lifting up the silly mask, dove in with a strong kiss, immediately reminding James that dress-up time was over. This went on for a full twenty minutes, but the two stupid lovers were so blinded by their endless kissing that they were strangely unaware of the rainbow-like figures that floated and danced around in the bushes of James' garden.

12:00 AM.

The guys were now in the bedroom after James felt it was 'getting pretty chilly outside'. A shirtless sleeping Marlon was stretched out like a star across James' bed, adorably asleep with his glasses still on and awkwardly tilting on his face. Such an innocent dork, Marlon slept through all the rustling and shuffling sounds of secrecy as James paced up and down the house, up the stairs and down the hallway, grunting and heaving until eventually he had added the fourth of three large, dark green suitcases, sitting readily on the foot of the bed. You wouldn't expect a 19 year old to own such things...they were the type of cases that your grandfather probably keeps in his closet.

Marlon's head leisurely, after half an hour's time, tossed and tilted, waking to a horrible clamouring of unfamiliar clamping noises that seemed to play and play louder in the bedroom, growing quicker, more rapid as he woke.

"You sure slept like a baby," James cut in smoothely.

Marlon's limp, tired body woke to James' soft, mild voice speaking and the gentle touch of James' slender, nimble hands rubbing seductively across his boyfriend's chest. Marlon was now totally captivated as James leaned in to kiss his neck, stroking his back with one hand and playing with his glasses with the other. Marlon, again, didn't seem to mind the booming sound of tumbling heavy things falling onto a carpeted floor.

Now sliding his long, string bean arms over James' strong back, Marlon could see his watch practically swearing at him with the time '12:34 AM' that immediately hurried him into his clothes (one shirt of which belonged to James) with an exploded, slurred, "SHIT! I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BACK HOME AT 9:30!"

Not even time to steal a kiss, Marlon, looking quite like a clown himself in his winter jacket, unmatching trainers and crooked glasses, rushed out of the door. He'd surely get a surprise when he realised he'd left something pretty important behind.

Long after his sprinting boyfriend had left, James still watched, still eerily waved his goodbyes into the black nothingness of the night time street...this went on for almost two minutes....
